The simplest way to improve academics is to study at night. This will only give you 2 points(4 if you're lucky). All of these ways will certainly give you four points but they all take up social link time. You can watch a movie, Study in the school library, Study on Sundays(which will sometimes give you six points), and finally eat in the strip mall.
