Overview

Jetpack Island, formerly the Canyon, was a minor location in Jailbreak, added in the Expansion Update, located on the southeastern corner of the map, close to the Power Plant. Jetpack Island was the only spawn for the Jetpack, as its spawn at the Airport was removed in the Oceans/Ships Update; otherwise, the location did not serve many other purposes other than filling out the map.

At the top of Jetpack Island was a parking lot. There was also once a sign that said "Take a picture! Send to @badimo with the hashtag #JailbreakLookout". This was removed in a later update.

In the Oceans and Ships Live Update, Jetpack Island, which had been a canyon at the time, was filled with water and no longer a dry canyon, resulting in the creation of Jetpack Island.

In the August 2020 Blade Update, a lantern had been added on Jetpack Island as a part of the Ultra HD lighting update, and to give more light around the area.

In the 5 Year Anniversary Live Update, Jetpack Island sunk into the ocean and was subsequently removed from Jailbreak.

Trivia

• There used to be cacti here, which could not do damage to players.
  • These were removed in the Oceans/Ships Live Update of April 4, 2020.
• This location used to be one of the two Jetpack spawn locations, the other being the tower at the Airport. This now serves as the only spawn for the Jetpack.
  • After the removal of this area, the Jetpack now spawns on top of a building in Crater City.
• The removed "X" mark on Jetpack Island was similar to the one outside the Jewelry Store.
• The dead end at the intersection has been removed as part of the Oceans Live Event.
• There used to be a sign that reads out "Take a picture! Send to @badimo with the hashtag #JailbreakLookout" as part of the Map Expansion Update, which was later removed in the 2020 April Live Event.
• In a reddit post by asimo3089, Jetpack Island was said to have "sunk into the ocean, along with some surrounding land nearby".
  • asimo3089 also confirmed the name of this location to be Jetpack Island.
