Fish in Stardew Valley can be found in ponds, Lakes, Rivers, Oceans, or within certain levels of the mine. They can be obtained by fishing using a Fishing Rod as well as using baited crab pots. Legendary FishThe most difficult fish to catch are the Legendary Fish. These fish are one-of-a-kind Higher fishing skill levels may be required to hook the fish, this can be achieved through the use of food buffs that temporarily increase fishing level.
Night Market FishThese are fish that can only be caught in the submarine ride at the Night Market so long as it's open, in addition to the Sea Cucumber, Super Cucumber and the Octopus; and also a 0.4% chance to catch a Pearl.

Where is there a lake in Stardew Valley?The Mountain Lake is the location directly east of the Tent in the northern part of town. The lake in front of the Mines is the one you're looking for. You'll have access to fish from it immediately, and over time, more options will branch out from the lake's main hub.
