I am always eager to experiment with different body lotions. Because I want some extra benefits from them rather than just moisture. St. Ives Collagen And Elastin Renewing Body lotion claims to rejuvenate skin. Honestly I was attracted towards the collagen and elastin thing. Although, topical collagen application does not do anything to skin but still I wanted to try. So, I bought, used and here is my final thoughts on the product.

Wrap your body in this rich renewing lotion for beautiful and supple skin. With 100% natural moisturizers, it is a non-greasy formula which absorbs quickly to help restore and rejuvenate skin.

How To Use

Take 1-2 pumps of the body lotion into your palms and spread all over body. Massage in circular motion with gentle pressure to awaken your skin.

St. Ives body lotion comes in a huge bottle with pump dispenser that doesn’t lock after you break its seal. Since the bottle is too huge I don’t think you could carry it for travelling. Moreover, all its details are mentioned over the back side of the bottle. Apart from this, I feel it would be better if it comes in small sizes too.

Fragrance

It has a very mild sweet and floral kind of smell that dies down really soon after application. Also, it does not cause any headache.

St. Ives Collagen And Elastin Renewing Body Lotion And My Experience

St. Ives Collagen And Elastin Renewing Body Lotion is white in color and smooth textured. And it goes on smoothly over skin because it is not too thick in consistency. I bought it last winter and back then I did not like it at all. Because it leaves my skin really tight after application and does not give enough moisture to combat the dryness. Furthermore, this lotion does not feel too heavy but it is not too light either. But I don’t had to wait for too long for this lotion to get absorbed into the skin.

Appearance

I started using this body lotion again about two months ago and I feel like it is a good option for summer. After application my skin felt little soft, hydrated and there is no greasy or oily residue left behind. Although, when the weather is humid it does feel sticky initially. But that sticky feel does not last too long.

Moreover, this lotion is unable to keep my skin moisturized for long time. Therefore, I do need re-application time to time. Now about the results, I did not see any change except skin hydration. It does have hydrolyzed collagen and hydrolyzed elastin but that does not cause any positive change in my skin.

Overall, In my opinion St. Ives Collagen And Elastin Renewing Body Lotion is a good non-greasy and non-oily hydrating body lotion which can be used during summer and rainy season too. However I will not recommend it for winters.
