Out of curiosity, I decided to know more about the skinniest person in the world dead or alive. I run into a good number of people but I decided to narrow down the list to 4 people who I feel deserved to be called be the skinniest persons. These people are so skinny that you could literally see the bones in their bodies.

There is a difference between Thin, Slim and Skinny but often used to describe people who have little, or too little flesh or fat on the body. Thin means not having a lot of extra flesh on the body; this is the opposite of fat. Slim means being gracefully thin whereas skinny means being unattractively thin.

Aside from being of the skinniest person in the world alive, she is also called the “World’s Ugliest Woman. Velásquez is medically unable to gain weight and she has never weighed more than 29 kg (64 lbs), and reportedly has almost 0% body fat. A decision she later regrets, At 5 ft 8 in tall, she became one of the skinniest people who suffer from extreme cases of anorexia. All her desperate effort to regain back her lost weight has been futile.

Kristina Karyagina, who reportedly weighed just 17kg after stopping eating properly during her time at high school, can be said to be thin to the limit. Kristina Karyagina, from Barnaul in south-central Russia, is known as the world skinniest person because you could literally see the structure of her bones. She is so skinny that her Doctor once told her she could take part in a living corpse.
