The show took the storyline to so many crazy heights, including the still-shocking sight of Marlena with glowing eyes and levitating over her bed.

Many years have passed and while the storyline is brought up on occasion (with no indication it could happen again), it’s now making a return in a big way to the series. On Monday, NBC released a teaser trailer that hints that Salem — notably Brady’s Pub — is where the storyline is going to get its start and that devilish laughter shows that this isn’t going to be a fun ride.

And while it’s too soon to know if Marlena is the target once again or if it could be another of the town’s beloved citizens, one thing’s for sure — this will be can’t miss television!

‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoiler find that this week left audiences reeling from one devil of a cliff hanger when ‘Doug’ revealed to Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) that not only did he mean to lock Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) in the restaurant freezer, but that he isn’t actually Doug.

He is someone Marlena knows intimately.

It was a scene from a horror film when Doug’s voice changed and the Devil himself announced he’s back , and it was daytime magic.

Fans fully believe the Devil would be so sick of Julie he’d lock her away in the deep freeze within minutes of being her presence and that he might get grabby with Paulina Price (Jackee Harry) however, it seems its Marlena he is after. Again.

Then again, fans have been warned by head writer Ron Carlivati and his team that , “the devil knows no bounds and no one in Salem is safe!”

Diedre Hall actually dropped hints about the upcoming, dramatic storyline when speaking on Daytime Emmy Awards red carpet earlier this year, saying the upcoming Marlena storyline “will have fans saying, ’I don’t even know if I can go for that!’”

Yes, there are the disgruntled naysayers who say they will stop watching the soap (but will they?). However, on the whole, audiences reaction to the shocking last minutes of Friday episode seem to be positive. Days of Or Lives fans are on the whole a fun group and it seems they fans are here. For. It!
