It's not been without its controversy though. Who can forget Charles Ingram, the British Army Major, who had his £1 million pound prize taken off him after it was revealed he had cheated his way through many of the questions by using sounds?

Ingram maintains to this day that he is innocent of any wrongdoing and is currently seeking an appeal.

On another occasion, Laurence and Jackie Llewellyn Bowen appeared on a celebrity version of the show where they made it to the final question, before they were deemed to have given the wrong answer.

The question was: Translated from the Latin, what is the motto of the United States?

Laurence and Jackie answered In God we trust but the correct answer was One out of many, which meant they went back to £32,000. However, it was ruled after the show that this question had a significant flaw and Laurence and Jackie were invited back to answer another question, which they didn't know and instead took the money.

In our quiz, we've included the second question they answered and omitted the first, flawed question they answered incorrectly.

So, can you answer all of the £1 million pound questions from the UK version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire?
