Street Outlaws star Bobby Ducote has reached No. 1 on Street Outlaws America’s List. He reached the top of the list on Monday night.

This episode was filmed back in January in La Villa, Texas. He defeated Ryan Martin to reach the top spot on the list.

Ducote reached the top for the first time in the two seasons of the show. He will lead the show as the top driver going into next week’s show.

The Mississippi native got the advantage on Martin from the starting line. He left early on as the Oklahoma native. But despite the early start, it is “Chase is a race” on the show so Martin had to try to chase him down.

“I got out on him and he couldn’t catch me,” Ducote said in an interview on the show after the pass. “I could hear him but I could never see him. I got the W. I’m so crunk that I’m going to rip the steering wheel off this thing. I don’t know if I’m going to be able to sleep tonight.”

Martin, as he was racing Ducote, had problems. In a video captured by the show, Martin had sparks flying in the Fireball Camaro.

“As soon as I thought I could catch Bobby, it went kaboom,” Martin said. “All hell breaks loose. It was like somebody threw a grenade in my car while I’m driving. The shifter breaks off the mount and the upper frame rail bar moves the shifter forward and the drive shaft passes me and shoots to the front of the car. Stuff flies everywhere. Smoke, transmission fluid; it was crazy.”

Martin said the drive shaft broke during the pass. He also said that he was fine even though he took some bumps and got hit on the neck.

“I’m not hurt,” he said.

Memphis Street Outlaws racer Jonathan “JJ DaBoss” Day has claimed the No. 1 spot on Street Outlaws America’s List. The episode aired on Monday night.

Day claimed the top spot from Team NOLA drag racer Bobby Ducote, who had the spot for several weeks. As the two cars were about to go down the street, Ducote had issues with his car.

This caused Ducote not to leave the starting line. Day had a nice pass down the street in Hummingbird despite all the damage to the car.

“Me and Hummingbird are No. 1 on the list,” Day said after the race. “At one point, I thought my wife’s life and my life was gone. After this accident, I’m trying to do this for Tricia. She really deserves to be here.”

Ducote previously got the No. 1 spot when he defeated Ryan Martin. He then defeated Lee Roberts before not racing for several episodes.

Hummingbird was brought back from the dead earlier in the season. Day had to get his wife Tricia Day’s approval to put the engine and torque converter from ZipTie into Hummingbird to complete the season.

The couple was involved in a very bad crash early in the filming in La Villa, Texas. This caused Day to be removed from the list, as she recovered once she was released from the hospital.

This was the first time that Ducote and Day had faced one another, according to the show. It is also the first time that Day, who has turned into a star on the show, claimed the top spot on America’s List.

Now, the question becomes, with just two episodes left, will he be able to maintain it? We’ll find out.
