So he transferred to Georgia Tech. Which is definitely not as good of a school as BMS. I already know Sam Jones(his actor) was arrested. But why would he leave a great school like BMS? No one was coming after him, no one was stopping him, it was his team. Other than Denise, he really had no reason to leave. And I know they had to write him out, just be aware.

Of its star players, Sam Jones III (teammate Craig Shilo) is not expected to return for season 2 due to his arrest in October. The ex-’Smallville’ actor (Clark Kent’s BFF) was detained by federal authorities on charges of alleged possession and intent to sell 10,000 oxycodone pills. No word yet on whether his role will be recast.The ’Blue Mountain State’ football team will play another season, as Spike TV has renewed the sitcom, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

He was recently invited to return to the set of the series, in which he played Craig Shilo until his arrest, but feared he would be unable to accept the role because filming takes place in Canada - and under the terms of his probation deal he couldn't leave the U.S.

In a letter appealing for leniency, he wrote, "I really need this freedom to practice my craft again. It's been a rough road, coming back. But I'm almost there... I need to work as an actor again."

The judge overseeing the case has obliged and commended Jones for his work with young people and the homeless, according to Tmz.com.
