You have to go into settings/preferences, and promise Amazon that you’re going to stop eating baguettes and snails...
level 2
Just use mushrooms instead of snails, tastes the same. 😁

Can't find this option :'(
level 2
Same thing is happening to me.
level 1
Having the same issue. I'm going to try and simply keep an "English link" ... If it switched automatically to French it should switch to English if I click it?
Edit: does not work .. awesome..."feature"
level 2
I guess we will have an option "never translate" at some point
level 2
Just delete the app and reinstall. It works now.
level 1
This is SO annoying. On my PC its always in English, then on my iPad I do a Google search, click on an Amazon link and boom it opens the Amazon app and now its in French everywhere. Please make it stoooooooooooooop
level 2
Same thing is happening to me. Seems like this only started recently
level 2
. You're lucky not sure if it still is that way because now my PC will change to Spanish as well.
level 1
Also running into this problem. Did any of you ever fix?
level 2
No, sadly it appears only Amazon can fix this :'(
level 1
I have just given up. I have created a mail filter to auto-delete all amazon language mail spam.
My prefered Amazon language is now "whatever".
@Amazon: Yes, I clicked on an English advertising. That does not mean I want my prefered language to change. Who even came up with a feature so stupid?
level 1
It is a feature from Amazon designd to annoy people. The constant language switching and emails to confirm this is driving me crazy !
level 2
if its designed to annoy then its working very well this is driving me crazy too 🤬
level 1
Same problem here, don't know why but it keeps going back to french... Translations are also shitty, just like any other website. Auto translation to French never works.
level 1
So fucking annoying, and they think so highly of themselves they have the audacity to send you an email updating you about it every time. Leave me aloneeee
level 1
There is a little flag next to the search bar. click it and change language. what a dumb interface! all of a sudden after 20 years I want to switch to spanish? really? not likely!
level 2
Thanks for pointing out the flag! It's a nice work around.
