What channel is the blues game on

The Capitals have been among the hottest teams in the NHL since the calendar flipped to March, posting a 7-1-1 record with three wins over opponents in playoff position. They'll look to pick up another Tuesday, when Washington plays host to the St. Louis Blues.

Though currently mired in a three-game losing streak, the Blues occupy the No. 2 spot in the Central Division. They can't afford a loss to the Capitals, however, with both the Minnesota Wild and Nashville Predators just one point behind them.

Here's everything you need to know before puck drop.

CAPITALS VS. BLUES WHAT TO WATCH

From NBC Sports Washington's Andrew Gillis:

"After playing one of their best games of the season against the Hurricanes on Friday, the Capitals allowed the Stars to jump on them early in Sunday evening’s game. Washington allowed a goal in the first three minutes and then one toward the end of the period as the two-goal hole was too much to overcome." Read more.

"Rumors have swirled for weeks about what, and whom, the Capitals might acquire at the trade deadline. For now, it appears they’ll at least make calls on a veteran netminder and a middle six forward and see where talks go." Read more.

CAPITALS VS. BLUES PLAYERS TO WATCH

Capitals: Alex Ovechkin, LW (62 games, 40 goals, 36 assists): Alex Ovechkin has scored a point in five straight games and nine of his last 10 overall. He trails Auston Matthews by six goals for the NHL lead, a deficit currently not out of reach for the Great 8 if he keeps this up.

Blues: Jordan Kyrou, C (57 games, 22 goals, 38 assists): Jordan Kyrou is enjoying one of the biggest breakout seasons in the NHL, totaling 60 points after finishing with just 35 in 55 games last year. The 23-year-old has six points (all assists) over his last three contests.
