What channel is the padres game on

The San Diego Padres and Philadelphia Phillies will continue the NLCS Saturday with Game 4 in Philadelphia. First pitch is scheduled for 7:45 p.m. ET and the game will air on FOX. Here’s a look at everything you need to know for the contest, including odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.

Phillies vs. Padres Game 4 live stream

Pitchers: Bailey Falter vs. Mike Clevinger
First pitch: 7:45 p.m. ET
Moneyline odds: Padres -105, Phillies -115
TV channel: FOX
Live stream: FOX Live, Bally Sports app

The Phillies are looking to grab another win at home after triumphing in Game 3 Friday. Philadelphia has not been able to do much offensively through three games but has been limiting the Padres outside of the Game 2 implosion. We’ll see if Falter can keep that going Saturday.

The Padres have not been able to click outside of their fifth inning heroics in Game 2. San Diego’s big bats have gone cold at a bad time. The Padres face a potential 3-1 hole after already playing two games in San Diego, so this is a crucial contest Saturday.

How you'll watch games depends on where you live. If you live in-market for the Padres, games will typically air on Bally Sports San Diego, the regional sports network for the Padres.

The Padres play the Phillies in Game 4 of the League Championship Series on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 7:45 pm ET. This game is airing nationally on Fox. You can watch with a free trial to DIRECTV STREAM.

There’s no bigger mess in baseball than trying to watch your favorite team on local tv. Television broadcast rights are a tangled mess of ancient rules, broadcast restrictions and corporate greed. The channel packages and streaming options seem to change every year. As usual, its the fans who come up short.

For the 2022 season, watching games in person may still not be an option for everyone. Here’s what you need to know to watch San Diego Padres games on television for free for the 2022 season.

The channel you need to know is Bally Sports San Diego (formerly called Fox Sports San Diego). If you are looking for a comprehensive tv schedule, that’s the network where Padres games are televised.

Bally Sports San Diego can be found at the same channel number the old Fox Sports San Diego occupied in your lineup. Bally Sports San Diego can be found on the following Cable and Satellite provider at the channels listed:
  • AT&T U-verse: 776 & 1776 (HD)
  • Cox Communications: 56 & 1056 (HD), and in Spanish 68 & 406
  • DirecTV: 694
  • Dish Network: 439
  • Spectrum (San Diego): 61 & 322
  • Spectrum (El Centro): 20 & 322

AT&T TV Now is the only streaming TV service to offer the channel. Hulu and YouTube no longer carry it.

Padres TV Announcers

The games will be called by Mark Grant and Don Orsillio (“Mud and Don”), with Jesse Agler, Mark Sweeney and Tony Gwynn Jr. for select games. In Spanish-language broadcast, es el hombre, el mito, la leyenda, Eduardo Ortega, along with former Padres catcher Carlos Hernandez.

Throughout the season, a few select games will be broadcast nationally on ESPN, FS1 or FOX Sports.

A great resource for info and broadcast tv schedule is the FSSD / Bally Sports website.

Streaming / Cordcutters

For cord cutters, try DirectTV Stream.

Bally Sports app – Fox Sports Go is the companion mobile app and will stream any Padres game that is being broadcast on FOX Sports San Diego / Bally Sports. The app, which will be rebranded automatically to Bally Sports, can be accessed through all the biggies: iOS, Apple TV, Android, Fire, Roku TV, etc. and online at FOXSportsGO.com. Log in with your TV provider password free (meaning, at no additional charge on top of your monthly cable subscription). More info.

What about the MLB App?

The technology is there and the games are being broadcast on the MLB.TV app… but Padres games will be blacked out for the local market. If you are a local fan you will need to use a VPN to watch San Diego Padres on the MLB.TV app.

Do not confuse this with the standalone MLB Ballpark App for navigating your experience at the stadium.
