Just started the game. Never played a souls game in my life. How do i use the finger seal? It doesnt seem to do anything when i use it. I am a confessor

A sacred seal bestowed by a Finger Maiden which serves as a catalyst for casting
sacred incantations. Incantations must be memorized first ata site of lost grace, and a sacred seal must be

equipped to cast them.

Skill: No Skill. This armament has no Skill.
If the armament in your other hand has a Skill, that skill will be used instead.

• This weapon cannot be buffed with Ashes of War.
• Finger Seal can be upgraded by using Smithing Stones.
• Spellbuff of 286 at +25 with 60 Faith; 324 at +25 with 80 Faith.
• Despite the incantation category existing in the lore, Finger Seal does not provide an extra boost to Two Fingers' Incantations.
  • None of the Two Fingers' Incantations are directly offensive, usually providing some form of defensive or self-sustaining effect to the caster.
• If you are doing a Dex plus Faith build where you find yourself using faiths from the whole Faith family tree, just simply stick to the starting fingers seal IT IS the best one if you want to use everything without weird compromises and are not at some high faith level like 60+
