No. 7 Ohio State (10-2) will face No. 11 Utah (10-3) on Saturday at 5 p.m. ET in the Capital One Rose Bowl Game in Pasadena, California. The game will be televised by ESPN. Utah achieved an 8-1 record in conference play and has won nine of its last 10 games entering this year’s Rose Bowl contest. The Utes impressed with two dominant victories over Pac-12 North champion Oregon this season, including a 38-10 rout over the Ducks in the conference title game on Dec. 3. This will be the second meeting between Ohio State and Utah in their history. The Buckeyes won the only meeting on Sept. 27, 1986 by a score of 64-6 in Columbus, Ohio. Last season, then-No. 1 Alabama defeated then-No. 4 Notre Dame in the semifinal round of the College Football Playoff, 31-14.
