Who is elizabeth olsen married to

They said “I do!” Elizabeth Olsen is married to Milo Greene singer Robbie Arnett, multiple sources confirm to Us Weekly exclusively.

The WandaVision star, 32, and the musician, 29, quietly tied the knot in 2020. News of their low-key nuptials comes shortly after the Avengers actress sparked speculation that she and her fiancé had taken the next step in their relationship.

Olsen recently sat down for a conversation with Kaley Cuoco for Variety‘s Actors on Actors series, which she filmed from a bathroom to avoid hearing her neighbor’s construction during the interview. “I also just noticed that my husband put Little Miss Magic — you know, the Little Miss books?” Olsen remarked. “They’re these classic books, but magic because of WandaVision, because he’s such a f–king cutie.”

Shortly after the Ingrid Goes West star’s comment raised eyebrows about her relationship status, the couple were spotted wearing matching gold bands on their left ring fingers while strolling through New York City.

The newlyweds were first linked in March 2017 and Arnett popped the question two years later.

Before sparking her romance with the “1957” crooner, the younger sister of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen was previously engaged to Narcos star Boyd Holbrook from March 2014 to January 2015. Six months later, Elizabeth moved on with Marvel costar Tom Hiddleston.

“They’ve been talking constantly. It’s been good for the both of them, they really care for each other,” a source told Us in July 2015. “Neither of them are looking to jump into a large commitment, but it’s getting more serious.”

Elizabeth was later rumored to be romancing fellow onscreen superhero Chris Evans, but she laughed off the hopeful fan theories. “Well, we’ve been dating secretly for the last three years,” she teased during an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in May 2016. “We’re actually engaged. We were about to move in with each other, but we’re still trying to figure out if we’re dating or not.”

Throughout her time in the spotlight, the Critics’ Choice Television Awards nominee has valued her privacy and has attempted to keep her love life under wraps. Growing up in a famous family came with its challenges — and Elizabeth even considered distancing herself from her older sisters’ legacies.

“I guess I understood what nepotism was like inherently as a 10-year-old,” she told Glamour UK in April 2021, reflecting on what it was like to have celebrity siblings. “I don’t know if I knew the word, but there is some sort of association of not earning something that I think bothered me at a very young age.”

Two months prior, she told Grazia that she’d “always wanted” to take ownership over her career. While it wasn’t easy to follow in the Full House alums’ footsteps, Elizabeth is grateful for the advice they shared with her along the way.

“There are always ways you can be private — my sisters are intimately private and I respect that. They showed me that you can be private, but also accessible to journalists, for those reasons,” she told Harper’s Bazaar in an April 2018 profile. “It’s helpful that I [learned] my value system from them.”

Low-key love. Elizabeth Olsen and husband Robbie Arnett don’t like to show off their romance — in fact, the couple have taken serious steps over the years to stay out of the public eye.

Speaking with Harper’s Bazaar in 2018, the WandaVision actress, who doesn’t have a social media presence, explained that when she did use the apps, she never felt comfortable with personal posts. “Every day I think I should delete it,” she told the outlet.”I find myself putting something private up there and I think, ‘This is stupid, why did I do that? I should delete it immediately.'”

Olsen stayed true to that idea when it came to her relationship with indie pop musician Arnett, as the pair have remained relatively quiet about the timeline of their romance since first meeting in 2017 while vacationing in Mexico.

Olsen reportedly moved pretty fast with the Milo Greene musician, as they were instantly taken with each other. “They are in an exclusive relationship and Lizzie is excited about him,” a source revealed to E! News in March 2017.

The couple waited a few months before going public with their partnership. In August that year, while speaking with radio show host Sway for his morning show, the Ingrid Goes West actress proudly stated, “My boyfriend’s in a cool band called Milo Greene!” When Sway asked, “Did you just shamelessly plug your boyfriend’s bang?” she replied, “Yes I did, because I really like ‘em and I really like him.”

After gushing about her new beau, Olsen brought him to the red carpet in September for the Gershwin Emmy Party in Los Angeles and they were photographed arm-in-arm.

The love only grew between the two entertainers as they took the next step in their relationship. During a May 2018 appearance on The Late Late Show, the Marvel star told host James Corden that she and Arnett had moved in together earlier in the year. “We live together. It already happened,” she proudly proclaimed.

Then, in July 2019, the couple was officially engaged. True to their nature, neither of them shared the news with anyone outside their inner circle, but Olsen was pictured out running errands in Los Angeles with her engagement ring in full view.

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020, the couple moved overseas temporarily to spend lockdown together — a make-or-break time for many couples that seemed to only bring Olsen and Arnett closer. During a January 2021 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the Avengers actress revealed that she and her love celebrated New Years Eve at home together. “We set an alarm to make sure we didn’t miss midnight and I actually put on a dress, it was really exciting,” she joked.

As it turns out, the couple were  even closer at that time than we realized. Olsen sparked marriage speculation when she called Arnett her “husband” during a June 2021 Variety interview with Kaley Cuoco, and Us Weekly exclusively confirmed the couple quietly tied the knot in 2020.

Moreover, during a June 2022 appearance on SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show, the Martha Marcy May Marlene actress confirmed she and the musician privately said “I do!” and “just never talked about it.”

“We never really talked much about our marriage,” Olsen — who was joined by Arnett for the interview — said when they were asked if they wed during lockdown. “We eloped, and then we had a wedding at another time, but it was before COVID.”

Late 2020

The couple took an arguably more serious step in their partnership before marriage: enduring COVID lockdown together. In an August essay for The Hollywood Reporter, Olsen explained that she was “growing and harvesting my own produce” and that she and Arnett hired a landscaper to make her “lifelong dream” as a gardener a reality.

"Looking back now on the past five months or so," she wrote, "my experience gardening has truly ebbed and flowed with my own emotional processing of the lockdown."

June 2022

The Wind River actress confirmed to Jess Cagle for his SiriusXM show that she and Arnett secretly eloped and subsequently had a small wedding during COVID. Olsen shared that the timing actually worked out in the couple’s favor. "I had to work in England and there are visa issues with that," she told Cagle and co-host Julia Cunningham.

"He wouldn't have been able to come at all actually. And also everything was so backed up. You couldn't even like try to get married then. But it ended up working out."
