Double elimination means double the surprise! On Wednesday’s semifinals episode of The Masked Singer, audiences watched the five remaining contestants — the peacock, rabbit, monster, bee and lion — compete before two disguised celebrities were eliminated and revealed. The peacock (“Let’s Go” by Calvin Harris ft. Ne-Yo) first performed in front of celebrity panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong and guest Kenan Thompson, and was followed by the monster (Sam Smith’s “Stay with Me”), lion (Stevie Wonder’s “Don’t You Worry ‘Bout a Thing”), rabbit (The Temptations’ “My Girl”) and bee (Aretha Franklin’s “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman”). Despite their strong and entertaining performances, the lion and rabbit were eliminated. First, the lion was revealed to be Rumer Willis. “I knew how to dance … but I wanted everyone to know that I can sing too,” 30-year-old Willis, who was crowned the season 20 champ of Dancing with the Stars, said to the shocked panel. Second, the rabbit was named and revealed to be NSYNC’s Joey Fatone. Next week, viewers will watch the peacock, monster and bee compete on the finale episode, when the first king or queen of The Masked Singer will be crowned. The Masked Singer’s two-hour finale airs Wednesday, Feb. 27 on Fox.
FOX Last night, we saw the most shocking elimination on The Masked Singer yet! The Lion was unmasked, revealing her true identity, Rumer Willis. Today, Rumer took to Instagram to answer fans’ questions about what it was really like being under the Lion mask. Her answers give an inside look at the show. Here’s what she had to say, including when we can expect new music from her! First of all, a lot of people wanted to know about the costume and how heavy the mask was. Rumer responded, saying:
But to clarify, she said she didn’t get to keep the costume and mask, even though she wishes she could have that mask on her wall! When talking about her favorite performance from the show, Rumer said “Diamond Heart” by Lady Gaga. Rumer was also asked what she would’ve sang in the Finale if she hadn’t been eliminated. Here’s what she said:
I’m honestly bummed we didn’t get to hear that either. I’m sure it was an incredible production! And again, mostly just shocked she didn’t make it that far. She’s been a standout singer since before the season even started. The Masked Singer used her performance to tease the whole show! And with that, the guessing game began. Secrecy is obviously another difficult part of the show as well. When a fan asked if any of her family members or friends called her out before she was unmasked, she had to admit that it did happen!
We even wrote about her denying it at the Screen Actors Guild Awards a few weeks ago! Finally, Rumer was asked about new music. She first said she would love to release the songs from the show on Apple Music. And as far as an album?
So fans of the Lion, don’t fret! We’re sure Rumer isn’t going anywhere any time soon. Be on the lookout for new music from her soon.

Important update for anyone anxious to get more clues and spoilers for The Masked Singer: The show's host, Nick Cannon, revealed some more information about who the Lion is. While talking with Entertainment Tonight, Nick was pretty quiet when he was asked about the 10 remaining singers. But when it came to talking about the Lion's true identity, he offered up a new hint. "This person, if you even notice, they use the Lion the most in the promos," he spilled."It looks like it's the most expensive costume ... so whoever is underneath there must be someone really important. [They] must be really heavy in the star power department." Right now, we are pretty certain that Rumer Willis is the Lion on The Masked Singer. Think about it: Rumer has scored parts in all sorts of hit shows, including Dancing With the Stars, Empire, CSI:NY, and Pretty Little Liars. That sounds pretty "heavy in the star department," if you ask us. Nick's comments aside, the clues revealed in episode one totally match her identity:

Watch on First off, Rumer is definitely "Hollywood royalty" given that her parents are Demi Moore and Bruce Willis. Apart from that, her "pride" is all female — her two sisters are Scout and Tallulah Belle. What's more, her birthday (August 16) falls under the astrological sign Leo (which is typically represented as a lion). On top of all of that, she also flaunts a huge lion tattoo on her shoulder. GettyEven though all of the clues match up perfectly, folks online still think it could be someone else. On Twitter many strongly believe it's a Kardashian or Carrie Underwood — both definitely fall under the categories of "Hollywood royalty" and "heavy in the star department." It's possible of course, but Carrie has been singing in the spotlight for a while now, so there doesn't appear to be a clear reason for her to "step away from her pride." As for the Kardashian guess, it's hard to say which one it could be. Considering the height though, Kylie Jenner also happens to be 5'6." Alas, unless the roaring creature is eliminated (or wins!), Masked Singer viewers will have to keep tuning in and putting clues together to see who is correct. But in all honesty, we totally think we cracked the code on this one. Want one more solid piece of evidence?
