MrBeast is one of the most popular content creators in the community, with over 97 million subscribers on YouTube. He has created an enormous empire on the platform owing to his years of hard work. Interestingly, he is on his way to the 100 million subscribers milestone and receiving the Red Diamond Play Button by the end of 2022.

Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, is famous for his massive giveaways and out-of-the-box thinking videos. Not to mention, last year, he outshined other YouTube stars by having the highest net worth of about $54 Million. Apart from focusing on his main channel to cross 100 million subscribers, Jimmy pays equal attention to his side channels.

Some of his most popular side channels are Beast Reacts, MrBeast Gaming, and MrBeast Shorts. Recently, Jimmy uploaded a video on his reaction channel in which several fans noticed his new hairstyle. However, he also included that if Chandler guessed the wrong outcome, he will lose 1,000. Although the video was quite entertaining, Jimmy’s new stunning haircut became the spotlight of the video. Not to mention, he even requested his fans to ignore his bald head in the comments.

MrBeast’s manager has pointed out one of the biggest secrets, and fans can’t believe it. A few days back, Jimmy Donaldson uploaded a fresh video on his main channel. He gathered a hundred boys and girls, only to challenge them for a massive half a million dollars. MrBeast conducted a similar version of his ‘Last to leave the circle’ challenge, as he divided the genders into two rooms.

He announced a $500,000 cash prize to the team, which remained in the circle for the longest time. His challenge, like the previous ones, was a grand success as he bagged millions of views after release. However, fans could not find a massive secret hidden in the video, which was always on the screen.

Before getting into production for the 100 Girls Vs. 100 Boys For $500,000 video, MrBeast posted one of the most unusual challenges. He went on a 30-day hunger strike to control his Crohn’s disease. For those uninitiated, MrBeast has been suffering from the disease for the past few years, making him try new techniques to control it.

So, as a challenge to himself, Jimmy went without food for 30-days with severe punishment. He asked his crew members to shave his head if he failed to do the challenge. As a result, the tables did not turn in his favor as MrBeast could not go past day 14. The main reason for this was because he faced the culinary maestro Gordon Ramsay and had to break his fast to eat the burger.

To this, the MrBeast crew happily shaved off his head as a punishment for not completing the challenge. Days passed by, and Jimmy moved on to produce his next video featuring the 100 boys and girls. Although he wore a cap throughout the video to hide his bald head, this minute detail remained unnoticed by every fan except his manager, Reed Duchscher.

Interestingly, Duchscher put out a dedicated LinkedIn post mentioning this alongside the video thumbnail. Here’s what he said, “One thing we didn’t realize when MrBeast shaved his head for a video: people won’t recognize him bald, so his thumbnail artist now has to Photoshop his old hair onto every thumbnail.”

It was astonishing for us as well as his fellow fans, as they could not believe of missing out on such an important detail. However, with this coming into the light, we now know how hard MrBeast and his team work.

As of now, MrBeast hasn't posted too publicly about shaving his head, but he has commented on his shorter haircut in a couple of videos. In a June 16, 2022, video on his Beast Reacts channel with Chris Tyson and Chandler Hallow, he talks about what could happen in an upcoming clip and brings up his lack of hair. "Also, I'm bald now," he says around the 0:57 mark.

YouTube megastar and philanthropist Jimmy "MrBeast" Donaldson is among the most recognizable faces on the internet, so you can bet your bottom dollar that fans will be quick to call out something that doesn't look quite right. More recently, rumors began spreading regarding the famed creator potentially having cancer.

This followed after fans noticed MrBeast 's freshly-shaved bald head during a video call with fellow YouTuber Ryan Trahan, who raised 14 million meals for Feeding America by embarking on a 30-day challenge to cross America starting with a penny. Likewise, fans were worried about MrBeast's apparent lack of energy in his latest chocolate factory video.

While MrBeast refrained from sharing details, which arguably intensified fans' speculation, the YouTube star finally spilled the beans about why his head was bald; and no, it's not because he has cancer.

Why Did MrBeasts Shave His Head Bald?

MrBeast shaved his head bald because he failed a video challenge in which he was fasting for 30 consecutive days. In his 2nd July 2022 YouTube video, "I Didn't Eat Food For 30 Days," MrBeast noted that if he failed the challenge for any reason, Chris could shave off all his hair, which he eventually did.

In case you are wondering how far MrBeast got into the challenge, he managed not to eat any food for about 14 days. However, to his credit, it was not for lack of trying. Throughout the challenge, MrBeast continued to film various videos for his YouTube channel, including his latest real-life recreation of Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory.

However, toward the end of filming, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay (who featured in MrBeast's Chocolate Factory video) offered to cook him a meal for his YouTube series Scrambled. So naturally, MrBeast could not pass up the "golden opportunity" to eat from one of the greatest chefs of all time.

Ultimately, MrBeast was inadvertently forced to take a bite of Gordan Ramsay's breakfast sandwich, resulting in him breaking what had been 14 days of fasting. If you're wondering, MrBeast lost 18 lbs (~8 kg) throughout the challenge, dropping from 220 lbs to 202 lbs (or ~100 kg to 92 kg), noting it was the hardest he's pushed his body in his entire life.

We should add that MrBeast had a team of medical experts monitoring him by keeping track of his vitals at all times. He also warned viewers not to attempt to replicate the challenge by themselves at home.

So no, MrBeast does not have cancer, but he does have the inflammatory bowel disease Crohn's Disease. In the comment section of his "I Didn't Eat Food For 30 Days video, he explained: "I have Crohn’s disease (basically my gut has tons of inflammation)."

MrBeast continued, "I wanted to give it a break from food to see if that would help reduce inflammation because Crohn’s sucks. I learned a lot about how I can use fasting to reduce my inflammation, and I’m glad I did this challenge."
