  • The Best Alternative: An All-in-One Platform to Make Passive Income Online

In this Paparazzi Jewelry review, I’m going to cover the following in this review:

What Is Paparazzi Jewelry?

Paparazzi Accessories (also known as Paparazzi Jewelry) was founded in 2010 in Hurricane, Utah (the company’s headquarters are still there).

Paparazzi Jewelry was created to allow those who want to start their own home-based businesses to sell highly-prized costume jewelry.

The company is known for its unique jewelry and accessories, which are very affordable, like Premier Designs. They are an MLM (multi-level-marketing) company.

The affordability of Paparazzi jewelry is one of its selling points. Except for the Zi Collection (which are priced at $25), all their products are $5 (rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, hair accessories, etc.).

Your commission is $2.25 per sale (equivalent to 45% profit) from their $5 products.

It is the nickel-free and lead-free nature of Paparazzi Jewelry’s products that makes these items unique and affordable. In cheap pieces of jewelry, these elements (nickel and lead) usually cause skin irritation.

A participant can use a variety of methods to sell their products, including hosting house parties, selling online, distributing via word of mouth, and many other methods.

Who are the Founders of Paparazzi Jewelry?

The founders of Paparazzi Accessories are sisters Misty and Chani. Back in the day, the women sold customized jewelry, and this passion evolved into the MLM business Paparazzi Jewelry is known for today.

On their official website, Paparazzi Accessories lists Misty and Trent Kerby, as well as Chani and Ryan Reeve as co-founders.

What are the Paparazzi Jewelry Products?

Understanding more about the company’s products is crucial if you are considering joining an MLM company.

A variety of jewelry and products are offered by Paparazzi Accessories, including:

  • Hair accessories
  • Necklaces
  • Bracelets
  • Earring
  • Rings

The majority of items cost $5 retail or $2.75 wholesale (for “Paparazzi consultants” at 45% discount).

Here you can find a wide variety of products with different “themes” such as Urban, ENCORE, Zi Collection, Monthly fashion mix, Valentines, etc.

It is also important to know that there are many more MLMs out there that offer very similar products. These include:

  • Stella & Dot
  • Vantel Pearls
  • Trades of Hope

Can You Actually Make Money With Paparazzi Jewelry MLM?

The company you are selling products for should be a reputable one and offer you a way to make money.

The point is that there’s no sense in spending time and energy on something that won’t generate sales and profit.

Most MLM companies also require you to purchase a starter kit to get started, and then to stay active as a consultant, you will need to purchase a certain number of products each month.

Let’s start by saying the obvious, which isn’t always so obvious.

This is a multilevel marketing company, not a pyramid scheme.

You can only make money from an MLM by getting people to join as consultants under you.

So, you’ll have to ask your friends and family if they would like to join you.

Your Facebook, Instagram, and email friends will begin to receive private messages from you.

Now that you have become that person, everyone avoids you!

As a result, it will be very difficult to make money with this.

Is Paparazzi Accessories a Pyramid Scheme?

Paparazzi Accessories is not a pyramid scheme.

They sell legitimate products, whereas a potentially illegal pyramid scheme focuses primarily on recruiting people (with products as an afterthought).

When it comes to false claims and/or tying the products directly to the recruitment process, things get murky, not necessarily with Paparazzi Jewelry but with other MLMs.

As an example, if you could only purchase the company’s product by becoming a member and recruiting others, it would be considered an illegal pyramid scheme.

New recruits are forced to stock a lot of inventory which then becomes the company’s primary source of product sales.

There are no retail sales (in other words, most of the products are bought by recruits within the pyramid).

In order to encourage retail sales, Paparazzi Jewelry requires consultants to meet specific personal volume (PV) goals each month.

With any MLM, though, things can get dicey when distributors who have trouble with retail sales end up buying their own products just to boost their own volume.

Deceptions and false claims about the product itself may also land a company in trouble.

Compared with MLMs that sell things like health and beauty products, jewelry isn’t as much of a concern.

The FTC recently sued skincare company Neora, claiming it was an illegal pyramid scheme. One of the reasons is that they falsely advertised their supplements.

AdvoCare, another company that promoted health and wellness products, was recently shut down (and ordered by the FTC to pay $150 million).

As Paparazzi Jewelry is not a pyramid scheme, these cases illustrate that many MLM companies must operate within a strict set of guidelines and adhere to a strict set of rules.

One area where Paparazzi Accessories can have a little difficulty is that it can’t monitor every distributor/consultant, and it’s common in MLM’s for some aggressive recruiters to make false income claims and sell lifestyle, rather than the products of their company.

Even so, Paparazzi Accessories is not a scam, but a “rogue” consultant could be running some kind of scam. Unfortunately, this isn’t an isolated incident. Multi Level marketing is rife with dangers.

What is the Paparazzi Jewelry Compensation Plan?

When you join Paparazzi Jewelry, the more salespeople you recruit under you, the more money you will make.

In addition to receiving 5-10% of the sales your “organization” (people you recruit to join Paparazzi Jewelry) makes, you can also receive 2-3% of the sales of new recruits.

Once you make it to the top levels of the program, you can also qualify for some pretty hefty cash bonuses such as these:

  • Luxe Jetsetter – $25,000
  • Impressionista – $50,000

To qualify for the cash bonuses you’ll need to consistently maintain a PV (personal volume) of 250 (roughly 125 sales per month) and an OV (organizational volume) of 1,000,000-1,500,000 (roughly 500,000-750,000 sales within your organization).

Some people might find that easy, but for most people, they can hardly fathom being able to recruit that many people – let alone one.

Here’s a summary of the benefits as your rank in the pyramid increases:

  • 10% rebate for 1,000 PV in a single receipt
  • 15% commission from your downline’s initial starter kit
  • More bonuses as you level up in your team
  • $25,000 bonus when you reach Luxe Jetsetter level
  • $50,000 bonus when you get to the Impressionista level

How Does Paparazzi Accessories MLM Work?

As a Paparazzi consultant, you will be selling Paparazzi jewelry and accessories to customers and earning commissions (direct selling).

You will need to recruit members to be in your downline in accordance with the MLM business model (the pyramid aspect). In turn, they must recruit other consultants to join their downline.

Whether legal or illegal, this does look like one big pyramid.

A legit multi-level-marketing business allows people to earn income by selling products to a retail market, typically friends, family, and colleagues.

As a distributor of Paparazzi Jewelry, you will need to build a solid team along with making your own sales if you want to make the big bucks.

Simply put, you will earn commissions from direct sales through your own efforts as well as commissions from your downline, which serves as passive income.

How Much Money Can You Make With Paparazzi Jewelry?

Generally, Paparazzi Accessories products cost $5 (with the exception of the Zi Collection). Their branding (and strategy) prevents you from increasing the selling price when you’re promoting their products.

Due to the fact that you are getting their products at wholesale ($2.75), selling them for $5 each will earn you a profit of $2.25 (that’s 45% commission).

As your team grows, you’ll also earn commissions of 5 to 10% from sales made by your immediate downline and 2 to 3% from their downlines.

Paparazzi Jewelry Pros

I personally believe most MLMs are a waste of time and money, but there are few pros wroth mentioning here to make this review unbiased.

1. Profit Margins Are Good

It’s a pretty good commission rate for an MLM to earn 45% on a sale, even for $5 (keep in mind, it’s still only less than 3 dollars per sale).

Because of this high commission rate, if you are good at selling, you may never have to recruit anyone.

It is crucial, however, to recruit people to build a highly profitable business as one of their consultants.

2. Customers May Buy Their Products in Bulk Due to Low Price Tag

Even though volume selling is generally not the best way to go compared to offering high-priced products, the $5 price point makes it very easy to sell several items to customers.

It is possible to earn a considerable amount by hosting a successful house party.

Due to the low price tag on these jewelry pieces, people who are interested in buying from you might be more inclined to buy several because they feel like they’re getting a great deal.

3. A Wide Variety of Products is Available

Under the costume jewelry umbrella, Paparazzi Accessories offers a wide range of products.

Since a buyer can select from rings, bracelets, necklaces, and more, this actually enhances sales.

It’s not uncommon for a customer to purchase several items all at once.

Paparazzi Jewelry Cons and Complaints

I don’t recommend Joining Paparazzi Jewelry to make money because of the following cons.

1. Low Sales Dollar Value

As I’ve already mentioned, it may work well if you sell in bulk, but you’re still only making less than $2.50 per sale.

I do not think this low commission amount will get you very far unless you bug your friends, family members, and even strangers at the store to buy your products.

2. Hosting House Parties May Be Annoying

Hosting house parties is another potential drawback of selling Paparazzi Jewelry.

It may be problematic for those who don’t like face-to-face selling, since it is the best way to sell a lot of jewelry quickly.

Your friends and family may be annoyed if you invite them to yet another one of these MLM “house parties,” which I’m sure they’ve all heard of or attended at some point.

3. Paparazzi Jewelry Sales Representatives are Rarely Successful

A MLM company’s success rate is rare.

MLM representatives lose between 73% and 99% of their commissions.

I would say that at least 75% of Paparazzi Jewelry consultants lose money after looking at their income disclosure.

I found the Paparazzi Jewelry’s full income disclosure.

97.23% of consultants make less than $900 a month on average.

As a result, you have very little chance of making money from this.

So don’t expect to make a lot of money from Paparazzi Jewelry. It won’t happen.

4. Your Success Will Rely on the Person Who Recruits You

The person or “team” you join as a consultant will greatly impact your success.

You may be able to successfully do this if you join forces with someone who is willing to teach you how to use online marketing to sell 24/7.

There is only so much jewelry you can sell in person or at a “home party”. So at $2.25 per necklace sold in person, you will not make much money each month.

5. You Have to Meet the Monthly Sales Quota

To remain an “active” Paparazzi consultant, you need to reach a monthly sales quota.

57 dollars may not sound like much, but if you don’t sell any (which most people don’t, if they only try to sell them to friends and family in person which most people do) then it adds up over the course of a year, especially in addition to the starting fee that you already paid.

There are better options with lower overheads that can be built with time. I will tell you a much better alternative to make passive income at the end of this review.

6. Paparazzi Jewelry Does Not Provide Online Marketing Training

Online marketing training isn’t offered in a “real” way.

You can watch some random videos to help you set up your “personal duplicate website”.

Paparazzi, however, does not provide training to help you attract visitors to your website every month and make this a “passive income.”.

7. Paparazzi Jewelry’s Popularity is Decreasing

It’s probably no secret that the most successful MLM consultants are those who “get in early” while the momentum is still rising.

There won’t be many people already working there since these people can help the company grow.

On the other hand, Google Trends shows that Paparazzi Jewelry is on a downward trend.

As other MLMs such as Farmasi are currently experiencing, it’s been through its “early momentum phase.” So it will be even harder to make money if you join Paparazzi Jewelry now.

How to Become a Consultant at Paparazzi Jewelry?

You may become a Paparazzi Consultant/Distributor by following these three steps:

1. Find a Consultant (as your upline sponsor)

You can choose a Consultant in your area by going to the Paparazzi Accessories site. If you are accepted, your name will be added to the list of Consultants (for future registrants).

2. Buy a Starter Pack.

Three packages are available:

  • Starter Kit– Priced at $99, valued at $175 (it contains 35 pieces of jewelry).
  • Small Home Party Kit – Priced at $299, valued at $600 (it contains 120 pieces of jewelry).
  • Large Home Party Kit – Priced at $499, valued at $1,000 (it contains 200 pieces of jewelry).

3. Launch Your Business

You may do this by hosting parties, promoting on your website, and posting on social media.

What Does A Paparazzi Jewelry Consultant Do?

Paparazzi jewelry consultants are responsible for booking home parties. Therefore, you will need to ask your friends if they love you enough to agree to this.

When hosting a paparazzi party, you should aim for three key things:

  1. You should sell as much jewelry and accessories as possible
  2. It’s very similar to direct sales in that you book more parties
  3. Make more money by recruiting others into your MLM downline.

Network marketing meets direct selling. Everything from your starter kit will be for sale.

To make sales, recruit consultants, and book more parties, you’ll need to step outside your comfort zone.

Sell Lots of Paparazzi Jewelry

You’ll need to sell a lot of jewelry to make money, since everything is only $5.

It is true that some people are born sellers, and can sell all types of products, but most are not.

Selling jewelry requires creativity on the part of Paparazzi consultants. You should get some help with this from the consultant you signed up with.

Additionally, you should consider finding a statement piece. It should be something you would love to own and that you can easily sell.

In order to turn a profit, you have to sell 60 pieces of jewelry.

After a while, people are likely to tell their friends about your products and you’ll generate business from word of mouth to hopefully hit your product sales targets.

Paparazzi Jewelry consultants must maintain a personal volume of 100 PV to remain active.

There may be times when you need to buy products in order to meet your sales quota.

Develop A Team Of People To Become Paparazzi Consultants

Recruiting people to join as consultants under your team is the best way to make more money and passive income.

You will earn a percentage of what your downline makes, as well as a smaller percentage of what their downline makes.

The first thing any MLM company will tell you to do is to reach out to your friends and family.

What Is The Cost Of Joining Paparazzi Jewelry?

As a Paparazzi consultant, there are three entry points.

To begin, you can choose from a range of products for $99, $299, or $499.

As some people would have you believe, this is not the only cost.

In addition, you must allow for the costs of staying “active” as a Paparazzi consultant.

Technically, you don’t have to be a consultant.

You, however, will not be able to receive commissions or bonuses for your downline.

If you want to make money from Paparazzi Accessories, you will need to sell 50 PV (personal volume) points per month.

In monetary terms, this means you must sell $125 worth of products per month at retail value.

This means you will have to purchase the products yourself if you are unable to sell this much.

Taking advantage of your 45% discount, you need to budget an additional $56.25 per month.

The following could be your first year’s expenses:

  • $99-$499
  • $56.25 x 12
  • Total cost in your first year = $774 – $1,174

Paparazzi Jewelry Positive and Negative Feedbacks by Real Users

Paparazzi Jewelry Positive Feedbacks

  • Their products are stylish and look good.
  • The products that they sell are very affordable, so retail sales shouldn’t be a problem for you. Consumers are likely to buy more than one item.
  • Suitable for extroverts who enjoy being around other people.

Paparazzi Jewelry Negative Feedbacks

  • MLM’s have a bad reputation (rightly or wrongly)
  • Recruiting is necessary for passive income
  • Not suitable for an introvert who doesn’t like being around people (close friends and family excluded).
  • Not suitable for people with no existing networks of potential customers or recruits to tap into

Is Paparazzi Jewelry a Scam?

I cannot say Paparazzi Jewelry is a scam for legal reasons.

In fact, the company is simply an MLM company that relies heavily on signing up new members in order to grow.

Your interest in selling costume jewelry and establishing a business around it ultimately determines whether or not this particular MLM is right for you.

If you enjoy it and enjoy selling face-to-face, it may be a great money-maker.

Nevertheless, since the jewelry is only $5 each, you’ll need to sell a lot of it.

That’s just under $2.50 per sale with a 45% commission.

Even so, mastering the art of face-to-face selling or a breakthrough on the internet can really add up to some serious sales.

Therefore, I don’t recommend Paparazzi Jewelry to anyone who wants to make a lot of money online.

Paparazzi Jewelry Review: Final Verdict

I don’t recommend Paparazzi Jewelry although they offer a high commission rate of 45%.

Paparazzi Jewelry is not good for making money.

You will need to sell a lot of paparazzi jewelry. This is especially true when paparazzi jewelry and paparazzi accessories are only $5.

Unless you sell 1,000 products, you will not even make part-time money.

And it’s an MLM. You are likely going to have to buy jewelry every month and you will end up stocking it up in your house because there is a “monthly sales quota.”

Around 98.23% of people who try to make money from Paparazzi Jewelry will lose their time.

So if you really want to make a decent amount of passive income, I have a better recommendation for you. This is a much better and cheaper way to make money online. Most importantly, it’s sustainable and 100% legit.

Let me tell you more about this in the next section.

Paparazzi Jewelry Review FAQs

1. What Is A Pyramid Scheme?

This is illegal, and that’s the most important thing to know. An illegal business model is one that involves recruiting people in order to make money without a product.

This is how it works: first, the promoter recruits investors, then those investors recruit more investors, and on and on.

The word investors is used. As a result, you’re not really getting anything in return for your money, it’s all just a scam.

2. What Is An MLM?

Pyramid Schemes & MLM’s pictures appear to be the same, don’t they? But no.

MLM companies offer physical products in exchange for your money, which is the biggest difference between a pyramid scheme and an MLM company.

There’s a big difference.

In the end, however, the compensation structure remains the same. In order to earn money, you must recruit people for your Paparazzi Jewelry downline, and the more people you recruit, the more money you will earn.

3. Are MLMs A Good Business Model?

MLM business opportunities are surrounded by a great deal of controversy.

If you want to make a small amount of profits consistently, you have to market, sell, and do lots of business activities.

To make any real money, it may take years to build a solid downline of “good” consultants.

Ironically, MLM’s are only beneficial to those at the top of the pyramid.
