I don't remember the name of this song but it has beautiful lyrics. I used to listen to it in 2017 and then I lost this song. From what I can remember, it wasn't an upbeat song and I think it isn't on Spotify either. also, it is about like sad couple break up maybe? Can anyone please help me with this???? Edit: I found the song!! It’s called Joy I call Life

I noticed the same thing too. Also noticing that syncing playlists between iOS and Mac isn't working correctly. Some songs won't show up, others will show up and then remove the past 3 or 4 songs I added on the other device. So frustrating. Thread reply - more options
Here are the steps I did to resolve this, i'm not sure if they are all necessary: Edit: I did the same thing on my other Mac without removing any files and it worked, so all you have to do is: Log out of iTunes (Account > Sign Out) Quit iTunes Open iTunes. Re-login to iTunes by going to the For You tab and logging in through Apple Music. Log out of iTunes (Account > Sign Out) Quit iTunes Go to Your iTunes folder (By default ~/Music/iTunes) and move the iTunes Library.itl file to another location to back it up. Open iTunes. Re-login to iTunes. If you are not using iTunes Match these steps may not be ideal as your playlists may not be as they were, though. Thread reply - more options
Eric, your solution resolved my same problem. Thank you. Thread reply - more options
HI Hasn't worked for me, still have greyed out songs. seriously fed up that a service I pay for is not doing what it should, feel like I have spent half my day logging in and out but still no joy..... Thread reply - more options
This trick is not working out for me neither. Still have plenty of greyed out songs in my iCloud Library. Thread reply - more options
Got it. This seems to be an iTunes Match problem and happens randomly with tracks you previously had a hard copy of on your hard drive. Wiped all of my music (both local and iCloud) and in the process of adding albums to my iCloud library through the Apple Music search. Found out that many of my albums were ****** up to say the least. Wrong cover arts, wrong matching tracks (studio version matched on live records for example). This whole Apple Music thing has been a mess so far for me. The Music app on my iPad Air keeps on crashing randomly when using it. Anyways, I consider that unplayable song problem to be solved for me, but the tradeoff is I need to rebuilt my library, album by album, which is a PITA. Is that 3 months free trial intended to allow Apple incrementing 10 bug fixing releases to launch a stable version in October ? Thread reply - more options
Talked to fast. Having the same issue after some time. Switching back to Spotify. Thread reply - more options
Have the same problem. The log out, quit and log in did not work for me. Thread reply - more options
I think I have worked out what is happening. This happened to me too. Apple Music suggested I may be interested in a band called Tortoise so I selected a playlist it suggested called “an introduction to Tortoise”. It had about ten songs on it but only one was not greyed out. I could play that one but none of the others. This to me seemed like a stupid playlist for Apple Music to be offering, that is, one it can’t play. I checked for what Tortoise items were available to Apple Music to stream; only two albums out of about a ten album catalog, and the track that would play was from one of those two albums. I decided to check the iTunes store for Tortoise albums; the full catalog (I think) was available as were all the tracks on the largely unplayable Apple Music playlist. Why is Apple Music displaying a playlist that it can only partially deliver? Why isn’t the full iTunes catalog available to Apple Music to share via playlists? It seems like a mess that needs a bit of fixing. Thread reply - more options
You're not paying anything for 3 months. Lighten up. Thread reply - more options
This does not help when it is a license problem. I have log out and in several times without the problem been fixed. I have found several albums that are listed but you only can just listen to a song or two from them because the rest are greyed out. Thread reply - more options
Where did you find what songs were available for streaming on Apple Music? I have found the same as you where only one song of an album is not greyed out, the rest are unplayable on Apple music but all the songs are available to buy on iTunes Store. Thread reply - more options
Just talked with Apple support on the phone and they confirmed that a lot of songs are still not licensed for streaming on Apple Music but they are available to buy in the iTunes Store. I think it is irritating because the same songs are available for streaming on other services like Spotify. This "you will have access to our complete catalog of music" is just BS advertising. So that answers why I can BUY songs or albums by the Beatles, but cannot play (stream) any of them thru Apple Music. Hope they get this worked out. Thread reply - more options |
