Are pre rolls worth it Reddit

My local dispensary has super high quality stuff and I'm super happy with them. They have one gram joints for $7 and usually their cheapest eighths are $30. I've never ground my own weed, and I'm wondering how different of an experience it is versus getting pre-rolls that are good quality (but not flower because I saw they actually had a $10 one gram joint that was premium and not the usual pre-roll). If I can get decently high off of a half gram pre-roll, how much stronger would freshly ground flower be since it's about 22% more expensive not including papers and whatnot.

My issue with pre rolls isn't the weed they use, it's the paper and how it's rolled. They're always rolled way tighter than I like, making them a bit harder to smoke than a hand rolled joint, and the paper is usually really thick and gives a nasty taste.

It's nice when they throw in a free pre roll as a first time deal or just because they're being nice, but I never buy pre rolls on their own.

There is absolutely a difference in the quality.

The buds sold at SQDC are, by and large, on the drier side when they are sold in store. Grind it down and it loses the ability to retain whatever moisture it had left.

Now, grind it at the production facility and have some machine or some employee butcher these rolls by packing the hell out of the joints; the difference in quality is immediately discernible. The fact that they’re packed so tight means they often don’t burn properly.

To each their own, but it’s not a matter of opinion that pre-rolls are or aren’t any better; they’re not. Dried buds that you grind yourself and roll yourself have so many upsides, it’s hard to even consider buying pre-rolls, unless you’re faced with a pretty major problem - inability to roll. This is the only reason someone should consider pre-rolls. Otherwise, especially when the SQDC is the vendor, it’s a literal crap shoot.

That being said, who honestly cares? I just personally hope everyone enjoys their smoke and their day. So with that said, happy smoking and have an excellent night, friend!

Thanks everyone, I also do know how to roll it will just be much more beneficial to have .5-.75 joints pre rolled, which I can do myself, but wanted to see if saving the time was worth it, had my eye on the gelato cake 6 pack, i'll just get the flower and roll 6-7 joints out of it for 5 more and it will prob be more terpy. Appreciate everyone's input

Are pre rolls worth it Reddit

Legit question no shaming anyone, I find it so relaxing to roll joints and it’s much cheaper than it is to buy them already rolled for you.

Papers are like $5 for 300 and tips $3 for 500 of them.

In Canada there is not reason. Prerolls are only trims and stems and cost more than just bud. It preys on idiots who don't know any better

level 2

  • 1 Buy flower and roll

  • 2 …

  • 3 Profit!

level 1

Then pre rolls just have trimming in them. It’s always best to roll your own at least you know what’s in it.

level 2

These are exactly my thoughts, other than convenience.

Every pre-roll I've purchased or got for free was nothing but shake. They all made me cough like crazy and barely got me stoned. If it has actual bud in it, then the pre-roll is $20 and I'm not paying that much for a joint

I'd rather not even smoke anything than smoke a fucking pre-roll

level 2

Yeah poor quality too! A lot of them don’t even have a humidor pack

level 1

I have giant fingers and bad motor skills lol

level 2

Ok you just answered my question💪

level 2

Have a friend roll them for you ;)

The math: lets say a preroll cost 10$ for 1 gram(probs 0.7 tho). Thats 10$/g

Buy loose flower for 5$ a gram and papers for 2$. 32 papers for 2$ equals 6cents per paper. To roll your own joint its cost then 5.06$. That is half price!!! Why buy prerolls ya lazy mugs🤣

level 2

My thoughts exactly, maybe they are more expensive elsewhere. We are spoiled here

level 2

5 a gram 🤭 where you at bro

level 1

It's cheaper than buying by the gram...$4-5 grams are usually shitty quality, but the pre-rolls are the same price and much better quality (with certain brands).

level 2

Ah! We don’t have the same where I’m from

level 1

i don't know how to roll lol

level 2

You’ll learn! It’s very easy and fun

Convenience for me. I roll my own sometimes but I'm also lazy. Also I find prerolls to be a good way to test out a strain before buying a bunch of flower. Like I'll try a preroll of a strain and if I like it enough I'll pick up a quarter or whatever.

level 2

I usually buy 1g or 1/8 first, the prerolls you don’t know what batch it came from

Are pre

Overall, pre-rolls are a viable choice for many consumers, and lots of cannabis users still prefer them to other methods of consumption. Ultimately, whether a pre-roll is “worth it” or not is up to the individual. For those who use cannabis frequently, there are probably more economical options worth trying.

Why are pre

Pre-Rolls May Contain Trim or Shake The biggest single factor when it comes to the price of pre-rolls is the nature of the ingredients. In order to save money, some dispensaries and processors fill their pre-rolls with other plant material, such as the loose flower left at the bottom of the jar (known as shake).

Will a pre

When you smoke a pre-roll, you can expect to experience the full “high” effect within 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the contents of the blunt or joint.

How much does a pre

HOW LONG DO PRE-ROLLS LAST? A singular pre-roll could last you anywhere from two minutes to two days, depending on your tolerance, the potency (and amount) of whatever the pre-roll contains, and a bunch of other factors.
