Sunday’s Keeping Up with the Kardashians drew a suddenly stark contrast between how exes Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick were each dealing with the fall-out from their split.

While sister Kim Kardashian West spoke happily about Kourtney’s renewed “fire,” which included posing nude for a confident and sexy photoshoot before jetting off to Montana for some “mommy time,” Disick seemed to spiral deeper into sadness.

And – eventually – all the way down.

At the episode’s end, Khloé Kardashian told Kim that Disick had sent her a “really scary” text message, about how desolate and desperate he feels.

Khloé, unable to reach Kourtney, who was traveling, let Kim, mom Kris Jenner and sister Kylie Jenner listen in on her phone conversation with Disick.

She tried to talk him down between his audible sobs.

“I love her,” Disick said of Kourtney, who he described as “beautiful.” “But she doesn’t love me.”

Not true, Khloé said: Kourtney did still love him, though there were other issues involved.

“My life is officially over,” Disick continued. “I just want it over.”

A concerned Kris urged them to call the police, and for Khloé to talk Disick into revealing his location.

“You don’t want your life to be over,” Khloé told him, reminding him that there are always solutions in the future.

“I just can’t get it f—— together,” Disick said. “I just can’t f—— handle it.”

Finally, knowing that Disick was in New York City, Kris reached his friend Chris Reda and told him to get into Disick’s room – and that if he was unable to, that he should call 911 “immediately.”

“No joke,” Kris told him.

But Reda was able to get into the room, and, once Kris knew someone was physically with Disick, she was able to calm down a bit, even though (according to how the episode edited it), Disick then suddenly ended his call with Khloé.

What does the future hold? As Khloé mentioned earlier in the episode, Disick has been “erratic,” even following a recent tearful sit-down with the women.

“Scott just comes over and is crying and telling us he wants to change and then disappears for two or three days,” Khloé said. “And then to be sending text messages saying, ‘Tell the kids I love them,’ it does concern me.”

At the end of the episode, while thanking Reda for his help in that crisis, Kris drew a firmer line on Disick:

If he wanted to return to the family’s fold, she said, he only needed to start being dependable again.

Reda said he had never seen Disick cry like that before: “I’ve never seen that side of him.”

“This is hopefully his rock bottom,” Kris said. ” All he has to do is come home and be consistent.”

This season has already been especially emotionally vulnerable for Kourtney and Disick – and though the family hopes he may be done falling, it’s not yet clear how he’d handle having hit the ground.

Sorry, Scott. It looks like in spite of your best efforts to get back together with Kourtney Kardashian, the mother of your three kids is ready to move on with a new dude.

TMZ is reporting that over the weekend, Kourtney was spotted on what appeared to be a date with a man named Chris Reda.

Reda is a longtime friend of both Scott and Kourtney’s, and he’s even partied with Kard clan on Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

Insiders say Reda recently visited Disick in rehab, so it’s possible he was simply giving Kourtney an update on her baby daddy’s progress.

But if that’s the case, it’s a bit odd that Kourtney brought her kids on the rendezvous (to say nothing of the fact that she joined Reda for dinner on a Saturday evening just to get the low-down on her ex).

Kourtney’s been more private than ever in the months since she dumped Disick, so it may be a long time before we find out if she and Reda are more than just friends.

Of course, that won’t keep the rumors from flying. Fans are already speculating that Reda is the reason Scott called Kourtney from rehab in a desperate effort to win her back last week.
