I was happy that they came in a set of 3 because I have 3 windows facing the street that I wanted to use them for. Each star came with it's own remote but 1 remote will work for all 3 stars. I will have a extra 2 remotes in case 1 dies or I misplace one. I'm a senior lady of 67 and found them very easy to use. Love the different lightning functions on the remote and the timer. They are lightweight and used suckers to hold them on the outside windows. I have bushes by my windows and was able to hide the battery pack in the bush. It was very windy for a couple of days and we also had a blizzard on Dec 1st. They did not blow away. I put fresh batteries in the battery pack the week before Thanksgiving and the batteries lasted until I just took them down the day after New Years. I am so happy with these, I decided to find fairy lights that also comes with remote & timer to put in my Christmas wreaths for next year. I found some on Amazon which I will use next year.
