Q: Can I change address after placing order?

Need to change your address after youve placed an order? At this time, we cant change your delivery address once the order has been processed.

Well, calling Amazon would be one way. Clicking "change" on the shipping address when you look at your order would be another.

Asking on here and waiting for a reasonable answer while your order progresses through the process is not the ideal method. You have a limited time that orders can be changed.

Depending on the carrier, some carriers offer redirection of packages to a different address. I've checked my resources in my call centre:

USPS can only change the address in certain situations. FEDEX is the same as USPS, but the Amazon CSA would have to speak to a manager to make this action. UPS can not make this change unless there is at least 1 delivery attempt. // If you live in Canada: // Purolator can and will make this action for you. Intelcom can and will make this action for you. Canada Post will not make this action.

If it has been shipped, it cannot be cancelled. If it has not been shipped, CS can change the address.

I called once, and they told me they successfully changed it. Called again after it didn’t change, and they told me that they could not change it.

Okay, no big deal.

Then I wake up to an email saying Amazon believes an ‘unauthorized party’ has accessed my account. As a result, all pending orders were cancelled.

What was the one pending order I had? You guessed it. My PS5.

Pain.

Edit: There was no option for me to change the delivery address on the app. I did NOT do this in order to receive a delivery date or anything like that. I recently had to move, and I did not want to make the long drive back to my old house to pick it up. I could have done it, just preferred not to. I did not expect for it to screw my whole order up.

I changed the delivery address on Amazon on my Quest order of 1 of May.

Before that, the delivery day was 23 of May.
Now I have no more delivery day because is like I preordered now and Quest are SOLD OUT!

Tried to ask to helpdesk and they confirmed that I'm sc**ed.

F**K YOU AMAZON!!!!!

You can update the shipping address, payment method, and more, by visiting Your Orders in Your Account. Changes are possible for orders that haven’t entered the shipping process.

To change your order information:

Go to Your Orders
Select Order Details for the order you want to change.
Change orders shipped by Amazon by selecting, Change next to the details you want to update (shipping address, payment method, gift options, etc.).
Follow the on-screen instructions to change the information.

Change an Order from a Third-Party Seller

To update the shipping address of an item you ordered from a third-party seller, Contact a Third-Party Seller. You’ll need to request a cancellation and order again. For information on how to cancel items or orders, Cancel Items or Orders.

Change an AmazonFresh Delivery

To add items to an upcoming AmazonFresh delivery, visit Add to Upcoming AmazonFresh Delivery.

If You Cannot Change Your Order Information

You can’t change orders that have entered the shipping process. If you’re no longer able to update the address for orders shipped by Amazon, visit Undeliverable Packages.

After you have placed an order on Amazon, you can update your shipping address anytime provided that your item hasn’t shipped yet. You can update your address right from your Amazon account homepage on your desktop or mobile app.

Keep in mind that if your order has already shipped, you won’t be able to change the address and you need to cancel the order and then place it again for the correct address.

Here’s how to change the shipping address on Amazon on desktop and mobile.

In your browser, go to the Amazon account home page and sign in if needed.
Navigate to “Account and Lists” and go to “Your Orders.”
Select the order that you want to change the shipping address for.
Click on “View Order Details” and select “Change” to modify your delivery shipping address.
