Do I need to play RDR2 epilogue?

Do I need to play RDR2 epilogue?

As much as I like milking cows and shoveling shit, it feels like I played through the story too quickly and missed out on good side missions and free roam with Arthur. Should I just restart?

Do I need to play RDR2 epilogue?

level 1

There’s only a few farming missions, then action stuff kicks back in. The epilogue also serves as the foundation for RDR (if you’ve not played I recommend).

Epilogue basically fantastically mixes fan service and finishing RDR2 journey.

level 2

gives you time to truly process what just happened in the main game. sometimes shovelling shit is a good way to grieve

level 2

Can you play rdr on pc or xb one?

level 2

Also you can hit those side missions in the epilogue anyways, which on my next playthrough i’m going to give him as much to do as possible this time

level 2

A few hours worth though. I was shoveling shit and doing chores for two hours. It wasn’t fun

level 1

i think it’s worth it to finish the epilogue storyline. after that is over, just restart because the rest isn’t that fun unless you’re aiming for 100%. but yes, the epilogue is worth it

level 1

It's a slow start but solid. Plus you can now get all the legendary fish and animals.

level 2

Don't forget the god damn herbalist challenge

level 1

The game gets better the more times you play imo. Spending time in chapter 2 is the biggie for me.

level 2

This. 100%

Im on my 2nd playthrough and I've been chilling near the end of Chapter 2 for 3 solid months.

There's just SO much non-story content in this huge, beautiful world. I don't know when I will advance the plot but I'm not in any hurry.

level 1

It’s definitely worth it for the completion, and there’s a special Rat Hunting mission at the end, you can’t miss it

level 1

Worth it just for the housebuilding mission

level 2

and features the greatest song in the history of music

level 1

I remember how indignant I felt when the epilogue started. I just went through the trauma of what happened in the finale and now I am stuck with John and Abigail's bickering.

But I would recommend playing it, because there is obviously some unfinished business and If you want to play RDR1 it helps setting up that story.

level 2

Abigail is hot but indignant for someone whose man just got them a ranch

Do I run into

Dutch and the boys

or do I just start a new life. I did the first mission and it was pretty blah.

Italian, French, German.

Part 1 is John starting a new life, part 2 is great and when things pick up.

Can't bring myself to finish it, I'm not interested in playing as anyone but Arthur.

Give it time. The start of the epilogue is a bit of a slog but it will pick up, I promise. There are some truly epic moments. I had chills up my spine in "Jim Milton Rides Again."

Just finished it today. The very last mission is pretty good but, most of the epilogue isn't that great.

Hurry up next gen

It’s part of the game. There’s a huge loose end with the main antagonist if you stop playing at Chapter 6.

That's like asking if it's worth it to finish a movie that you're into...

The mind boggles at this question lol

You are not worthy of playing the epilogue for asking this question.

Do you have to play as John Marston at the end of RDR2?

Due to Arthur's demise at the end of Chapter 6, you take on the role of John Marston for the two epilogue chapters, and for however long you plan on playing the game after the story has concluded for the final time.

How much longer is RDR2 after Arthur dies?

The game jumps forward several years following Arthur's death at the end of Red Dead Redemption 2's main story, and it's 1906 by the time the epilogue (starring John Marston once again) starts, so a good seven years have passed.

Does honor matter in the epilogue of Red Dead Redemption 2?

low honor in Red Dead Redemption 2, but it does affect how Arthur dies at the end of the Red Dead Redemption mission. A dishonorable Arthur will be killed by Micah Bell, an action which also varies based on what Arthur did with John earlier.

Do you play as John after the epilogue?

Even after the credits roll, there is an extremely lengthy epilogue where players assume control of John Marston.
