I heard that this wasn’t the case at first, but an update changed it. Just wanted confirmation before I kill all the merchants and give them to the vendor. Show

Only the upgrade material (smithing stone, somber, ghost + grave glovewort) bearings and the bearings from bell bearing hunters Thanks. I’ll be sure to stock up on merchant materials before moving on to it then. The Garchomp is drowning! Nabinator 4 months ago#4 They do not, sir. Terragent 4 months ago#5 This was changed in a semi-recent patch (about a month ago?). As chaot1c says, only the bell bearings that add stuff directly to the main shop list will persist - any "named" bell bearings from NPC shopkeepers will reset on NG+. The person who respects the letter of the law but not the spirit is a person with no justice in their heart. The Elden Ring Bell Bearings have locations all over the game, special items that can expand the stock of the Twin Maiden Husks and allow you to buy some of the best items in Elden Ring! The big one, of course, is the ability to buy or farm infinite Elden Ring Smithing Stones, a fantastic advantage that'll ensure that you can boost any weapon given enough time. You can even get the Bell Bearings from dead merchants, but beside that it's not clear where to find Bell Bearings in Elden Ring. Check out our guide below to find all the Bell Bearing locations and expand the Husks' supply. Table of Contents
All Bell Bearing locations and what they get you in Elden Ring(Image credit: FromSoftware)As far as we know there's at least twelve Bell Bearings spread about Elden Ring, with more that can be obtained depending on what happens to merchants in your game.

It's also the case that any special merchants who are killed (by story, by enemies, or even by player's hands) will nearly always drop a Bell Bearing where they stood. This can then be brought to the Twin Husks to effectively recreate the dead merchant's stock, so you can still buy those items even after they're gone. Of course, the best feature here is that you can buy infinite numbers of Smithing Stones, though they're not cheap, especially the better ones. However, it'll save you time exploring the world trying to find them, and radically open up the opportunities you have to upgrade various weapons. There's also no Bell Bearings for the two best tiers of Smithing Stones - the Ancient Dragon and Somber Ancient Dragon variants, used to bring weapons to either +25 or +10, depending on their type. Likewise, there's no Bell Bearings for the Great Ghost Glovewort or Great Grave Glovewort, used to max out the level of your Spirit Summons. These are all limited items - you'll only ever find a certain amount in each campaign, so you'll need to be careful about how you use them. How to use Bell Bearings and what to do with them(Image credit: FromSoftware)Any Bell Bearings you find should be brought to the Twin Maiden Husks in the Roundtable Hold, a pair of desiccated figures leaning against each other in the dark room just past the hallway outside Ofnir's library. They'll have a very limited stock that occasionally expands on beating certain bosses, but you can speak to them at any point to offer Bell Bearings in your inventory. These little balls permanently expand their stock, and don't worry about losing the Bell Bearings - they have no function other than this, so you should always hand them over. Specifically, you'll be able to offer a bell bearing to the Twin Maiden Husks in Roundtable Hold to add items to their purchase option.
Where do I take Bell bearings Elden Ring?Throughout The Lands Between in Elden Ring, Bell Bearings can be found in chests or dropped when the Tarnished kill certain NPCs and can be given to the Twin Maiden Husk to expand their shop.
Can you lose Bell bearings Elden Ring? The Elden Ring Bell Bearings are items found in various areas of the map that can be traded into the Twin Maiden Husks to expand their inventory at the Roundtable Hold. They are also carried by most NPCs and Nomadic Merchants in Elden Ring and can be dropped by them upon death.
Do you keep your ball bearings in New Game Plus? The one key change it makes is that when moving to New Game Plus, many of the Ball Bearings that you have acquired and turned into the Twin Husks will remain. Previously you had to reacquire them on each subsequent playthrough.
