If so, what kind of drug test is it?

Urin? Hair? Mouth swab? Blood?

You were tested there at the location on the spot when offered the job. In my experience as a supervisor.

As soon as you’re offered the position. It could be urine or mouth swab. I’ve seen both. If you are hired and something happens where they have to re-test, it could be any of the ones you listed.

(The only time I’ve seen someone tested after being hired was if there is an incident and damages are over $249.99) ie. running a forklift through a lumber door...... oops

Got hired for part time last week. They said they’re only testing full time employees right now because of virus concerns. If you start as part time and transition to full time, they test you when you become full time. Might not be the case for every store though...

Back in the day we had to pee in a cup, now its an on-the-spot mouth swab.

Hi guys, I applied to Home Depot about a week ago and ended up getting an interview. I read around a little and saw that Home Depot drug tests employees using a mouth swab but hasn’t been doing so recently because of the pandemic. Can anyone confirm/deny this? I should also mention that I’m going to be working seasonally. Anything helps :)

when I first got hired, back in April they had stopped doing drug tests at our store to expedite the hiring process, because so many people were out of work in the area and they just wanted to get people working again. however a few months after that they did reinstigate the drug test.

They do drug test, but whether they stoped due to Covid I haven't heard of that personally

Definitely still drug test....Corporate hasn't directed us to stop because of Covid-19.

Just brush and rinse really well and breathe thru your mouth n you'll be fine. It only test for use in the last 42 hours

Only a mouth swab u only have to be clean for 24 hours if u smoking weed

Depends on how much you smoke. If you’re a heavy user, might want to make it 48hrs or more just to be safe.

24 hrs is cutting it super close. I would do 48-72. Take a smoke break

Since you're a seasonal hire, you most likely won't be getting tested. They'll have you tested if they decide to hire you as a full-time employee. That's what my store does anyway.

I got hired in Southern California back in September and I didn't get tested at all. May be a COVID thing may be a regional or store thing

Never been tested, but I live in a state where it's kinda hard to find new hires if you drug test a lot. It really depends on your region I think.

I was under 18 when I got interviewed and had to reschedule a drug test and background test because I needed a parent to be present.

A lot of people slip through the cracks, my girlfriend didn't get tested, and I only got tested once I went for a machine license. Our store stopped entirely at the start of covid, but that varies place to place.

I work at HD, rn no drug test due to covid. But if you injure yourself at work they will.

It must vary my region. We're still drug testing in Michigan.
