Don lee farms organic veggie bites review

level 1

It’s like a more interesting tater tot. The sunflower seeds add a nice texture.

level 2

The area around sunflowers can often be devoid of other plants, leading to the belief that sunflowers kill other plants.

level 1

I'm going to dissent from the other opinions here. I Am a vegetarian and did not like these at all. I thought the texture was very strange and spongelike. I was not a huge fan of the flavor either.

I am not trying to sound snooty by saying I'm a vegetarian, but I want to give credit that I have tried oodles of other vegetarian/vegan snacks like this - it wasn't just a one-off.

level 2

I was afraid they'd be spongy like as well. Threw them into the air fryer on 350 for 8 mins and they were pretty good.

level 2

You ever tried the edamame nuggets from Trader Joe's? Curios your take on them but for me they're hands down the best veggie tot/nugget snack out there

level 2

We are non-snooty vegetarians and completely agree. They were just ....odd.

level 2

I agree, sort of spongy yet mushy. As a vegan, I love their 4 pack of tofu. Versatile and you can cook it how you like!

level 1

I fried them in avocado oil until they had a nice crispy shell. Tastes great with hummus.

If you are looking for a really quick meal for kids, dump them on a pan in the toaster oven for 12 min.

level 1

We cooked it in the air fryer, not soggy at all. We enjoyed them.

level 1

We got them this past weekend for the 1st time, they were pretty good, had some last night. Not sure why the box says use within 3 days of opening. We had some over the weekend and yesterday, no difference in taste past the 3 days.

level 1

Great as a breakfast dish and also as a slightly more nutritious tate tot. Made a solid tater-tatcho with these for a football gathering in the "before times" - smother with all your favorite nacho toppings and bake.

level 2

Upvoted for the use of “before times”

level 1

I thought they were gross. We ended up throwing them away after eating about 4.

level 1

Used to get them all the time. Glad they’re back.

level 1

I love these things. I used to do these with egg bites for breakfast.

level 1

My gf raves about these. Hope you're not close to our club b/c she's likely to personally sell them out.

level 1

I couldn't find them in my store!

level 1

I did not like them one bit. I love veggies and meat too but these were not it.

level 1

Greasy. Kind of an unhealthy "vegetarian" dish in my opinion. We were not repeat buyers.

level 1

I did not like it. Comes out of microwave, soggy. Maybe i should try air frying them.

level 2

Yeah you need th air fryer them or put in the oven.
