Dying Light 2 orders quest bug

The quests not updating after completing tasks Dying Light 2 bug solution helps you get over the glitch, especially for the quest Stuck in a Safe House. Basically, it lets you kinda jump-start the next step of the quest. While the fixes are not necessarily permanent, it sure beats not being able to progress at all. So, let’s see what your options are.

If you encounter the bug where your quests are not updating after completing tasks in Dying Light 2, the first solution is to restart the game. After the reload is complete, the next stage of whatever mission you were on should trigger. You might lose a bit of progress, but if you’re stuck in the middle of a quest, you’re not making any progress anyway. So, reload the game, and you should be fine. For a while. Unfortunately, there is one problem with this solution, which is that it’s usually temporary. Quite often, the game will revert to its previous state of not being able to update your quest after about fifteen minutes, maybe half an hour.

The other solution is to go into the online section of the menu, then head into your friends list. Enter into a quick match, then drop said match. While this solution is also not always permanent, it will complete the quest without you having to exit the game completely. Might save you a little bit of time, if nothing else. But, yeah; neither of these are guaranteed to fix the problem for good. It’ll just help you get through that particular step your stuck on, but odds are good you’ll run into it again. Hopefully, the devs are gonna patch the bug out soon.

Mission Info: To access the GRE database with the key, I needed a functioning terminal. Lieutenant Rowe might have known where to find one. I was also asked to deliver an envelope containing Matt’s orders to him.

Objectives:

• Talk to Lawan
• Deliver the orders to the PK outpost
• Find the outpost commander
• Clear the area of Renegades
• Talk to Lawan

Starting Location: Orders

Talk to Lawan

After defending the Fish Eye in the prior quest, you will need to speak with Lawan outside.

Deliver the orders to the PK outpost

Lawan gives you some orders from Jack Matt that you need to deliver to someone at a nearby PK outpost.

At the outpost, head to the east side and speak to the man looking through some binoculars.

Grady asks you to go to another spot to check for Rowe, but before leaving you can grab a memento from the left of the door on the nearby building.

Now head to the new location to look for Rowe.

At the location, there will be two Renegades attempting to get into a metal building after a lone PK soldier. Deal with them so you can talk with the PK in the building.

After speaking with the PK inside another group of Renegades will show up, two archers and two more melee enemies. Deal with them then speak with the PK in the building one more time.

Find the outpost commander

You’ll be given one final location to head to now to look for Rowe.

The location is more or less a Renegade outpost, and you need to clear the area of all the Renegades while freeing the tied up PKs around the area.

Continue moving up the building dealing with the Renegades and freeing the PKs. On the way up you will eventually run into the outpost Commander.

Clear the area of Renegades

If you’ve not already before dealing with the Commander, clean up the rest of the Renegades. Before going into the door at the top of the building, you can grab a memento off the table on the second floor from the top.

You can then go interact with the door on the top floor.

You’ll have a short talk with Rowe and Lawan will also appear. Before continuing you should grab the memento on the table in this room.

Along with the inhibitors from the nearby crate.

When you’re ready to continue, go speak with Lawan on the balcony to complete this quest.

This finishes Orders story quest in Dying Light 2 Stay Human.
