Final fantasy 7 remake intergrade free upgrade reddit

Hey all. So my partner and I recently got our hands on the infamous PS5, and the first thing they did was buy Final Fantasy VII Remake for the PS4 via the PlayStation Store.

They didn't realize Intergrade existed, or else we would have bought that, obviously. Judging from what I've read online, Intergrade seems to be a worthwhile investment. It just sucks that we JUST bought the Remake before realizing...

I heard if you had the Final Fantasy VII Remake for PS4, that you could potentially upgrade to Intergrade for free. Unfortunately, when we search up Intergrade in the PS Store, it says it's unable to update because we already own the PS4 Remake... uhh, wasn't that the point??

Some places I'm looking are saying that if you were a PSP member, you were able to get the PS4 Remake for free last March. We have PSP now, but we did not have it in March, nor did we get the game in March (we never had a PS4, and only got our PS5 a few weeks ago, so...).

I can't determine though if you HAD to get the Remake for FREE via PSP in March to be able to get the Intergrade upgrade, or if just anyone who owns the PS4 version is able to get it as well??

If anyone can enlighten me, I'd mondo appreciate it!!

Ps. For those of you who have played both the Remake AND Intergrade, would you recommend purchasing Intergrade (if I'm unable to get it for free, that is), or do you feel that just playing the Remake is enough?

It happened to me the same and just today I was able to do it, I actually find an updated version of the game for £15 in the Store, I do not remember where exactly but kind of I think there and tab where they showing all the free upgrades from PS4 to PS5, anyways, if you cannot find it there just go and look for it in the store, it was saying very clear, FFVII Upgrade for PlayStation 4 owners and has the logo of PS5. So, as I told you before I found and upgrade for £15, I added to the cart, I DID NOT BUY IT, but I just added it, and I pressed the “…” (3 dots button) to see more option and I found that one that I said before: FFVII Upgrade for PlayStation 4 owners and it was for FREE, so I finally could download it. Sorry I know it’s hard to understand what I write but I just trying to describe how I done, I didn’t put too much attention cos I was thinking that it something that I got bugged and it will not work wherever I do, but my surprise was that it ended up working, hope I can help you. Clarification on upgrading PS4 version to PS5

Since it can be a little confusing to find out how exactly the free upgrade will work and what you need to do, I decided to clarify.

• You are eligible for a free upgrade if you bought a digital or physical copy of the PS4 version of VII Remake.

• Every time you want to play or download Intergrade on your PS5, and when you did the Upgrade via a PS4 Disc, you need to insert the PS4 disc into the PS5 in order to play the digital version of Intergrade.

• If you do the free upgrade, Yuffie DLC must be bought separately from the PS Store.

• The DLC is included when you buy Intergrade for PS5.

• VII Intergrade as well as the latest updates must be installed in order to play the Yuffie DLC.

• Those who downloaded the free PS Plus version are not eligible for the free upgrade.

• You can carry over your PS4 save data to the PS5 version. They will release an update that adds the option to do so in the main title screen.

To sum it up, here is a step-by-step guide:

• Don't download the PS Plus version of VII Remake if you already own it because PS Plus version isn't eligible for free Upgrade. As of now, it is unclear if adding the PS Plus version to your library locks you out of the free upgrade. I say don't do it when you already bought it.

• Own a PS5 with a disc-drive when you own a PS4 Disc version of VII Remake.

• Insert the disc of the PS4 version into your PS5 or download the digital PS4 version to your PS5 to upgrade it.

• Keep the disc inside if you want to play it and when you did the upgrade from the PS4 Disc.

• Buy Yuffie DLC from the PS Store.

• Keep your game up to date in order to play this DLC.

• If you bought the digital PS4 version, you do not need a PS5 with a disc drive.
