Guardians of the Galaxy Game maze

Puzzles like the Fog Maze are an integral part of the gameplay in Guardians of the Galaxy. If players want to progress, they will have plenty of puzzles to solve ahead of them, and the Fog Maze itself is waiting to be taken on at Chapter 10.

As Mantis leads the team through the area, players will eventually make their way to some fog. The fog will get thicker as the team goes further in until players reach the Fog Maze itself. At this point, players will need to be careful with what they say, as the Fog Maze is certainly not friendly and can mean danger.

Getting through the Fog Maze safely in Guardians of the Galaxy

Guardians of the Galaxy Game maze

When players make their way into the main Fog Maze room following Mantis and the team, everyone will complain about hearing voices. At first, they are muffled and it can be hard to tell what exactly the voices are saying.

Star-Lord will attempt to tell the team what he thinks is hiding within the Fog Maze. However, it's up to the player to decide what Star-Lord says, and there are a few different options for what he thinks is hiding in the fog. Whichever option is chosen will appear in the fog.

The Fog Maze listens to what the team is saying, and it takes the form of the enemies they assume are hiding. That means any option that players choose will appear, but it's possible to say nothing and wait the encounter out. If players keep choosing an enemy, the encounter will simply continue.

Without saying anything and summoning enemies, players can then move through the Fog Maze to the second part of the puzzle.

Ending the Fog Maze in Guardians of the Galaxy

In the second part of the Fog Maze, players are confronted much harder by the fog and more enemies will appear. Players are tasked with taking out the fog for good, but first, some of the team members need to be taken.

There is a tunnel that can be seen with radar which shows a tunnel to stop the fog. Rocket needs to go through, but he can't be convinced until a couple members of the team disappear. Once they do, Rocket will destroy the barrier and make his way to the fog source.

All that's left to do is survive and take down the main source when Rocket comes back out, and the players can move on in Guardians of the Galaxy.

This page of IGN’s Guardians of the Galaxy walkthrough contains information for Chapter 6 - Between a Rock and a Hard Place. Chapter 6 is pretty short but has a lot of great Easter Eggs and things to discover. After speaking to your crew, you’ll head off to Knowhere. Knowhere looks large but it’s very constrained. There are lots of little details and easter eggs to find, but they’re all relatively within reach. This walkthrough will point out some of the biggest things there are to see and collect while in Knowhere. Use this page to sing perfectly with Lipless, learn that the Knowhere lottary and the slot machines are just huge scams, and more!

The Milano and the Crew

advertisement

As usual, you can interact with your crew while you’re in the Milano. This is the only time in this chapter where you’ll be able to use the workbench. So if you’re looking to craft any Perks, do it before flying to Knowhere. There’s a funny interaction regarding Peter’s toothbrush during this time. When you enter the bridge, Gamora exits and eventually, you hear her mention to Drax that she’s going to the bathroom. Go knock on the bathroom door to discover what Gamora’s been doing with Peter’s toothbrush. Once you’re done interacting with the crew, sit in the captain’s seat to fly to Knowhere.

A Visitor’s Guide to Knowhere

As mentioned earlier, Knowhere looks big but it’s deceptively constrained. However, this doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of things to interact with and explore. The main thing you should know about Knowhere is that everyone is trying to take your money. Most interactions you have will result in you purposely giving way your money, or losing it in flat-out robbery. Keep in mind all of these things are entirely optional! The objective of the chapter is to go find Cosmo.

Sing with Lipless at Mantlo's Bar

Right after meeting Mantis, you’ll be near Mantlo’s bar. Go in there immediately to trigger a lengthy cutscene that leads to earning a free ticket to the Collector’s Emporium. Once inside, you'll see Groot and Rocket, but most importantly, you'll find Lipless — a dear old friend of Peter. Click here to see our full guide on how meet Lipless and sing as Storm-Lord. You should do this right after your interaction with Mantis. If you walk ahead and don't enter the bar, Drax and Gamora will split off, and you'll miss your chance to encounter Lipless.

Visit the Collector’s Emporium

If you want to see lots of Easter Eggs, the Collector’s Emporium is the place to go! After obtaining the free ticket from the Lipless in Mantlo’s bar, you can enter the Collector’s Emporium without paying the entrance fee. Inside, you’ll find a bunch of fun exhibits for various Marvel Comics goodies. For a breakdown of all the mysterious objects you can find in the Emporium, check out our Easter Eggs section!

While you’re at the Collector’s Emporium turn right from the ticket booth and speak to the floating head of the Collector. In this gift shop, there are three items for purchase, but only one is a gift for Gamora. For 2000 units, you can buy the Collector's Emporium Doll.

Get the Guardians of the Galaxy Star-Lord (2014) Outfit

As you're heading toward the Rift Observation Deck, you will see three children playing in a corner next to the stairs. Don't interact with these kids, they'll steal your money! Jump over the railing behind where the kids are playing, and you'll find a chest underneath the stairs.

Talk to Drax

You’ll find Drax at the Rift Observation Deck. You can speak to him to have a heart-to-heart conversation about loss. Though inconsequential, if you do have this conversation with him now, Peter and Drax will refer to it near the end of the game.

Knowhere Slot Machine

The Knowhere slot machine is quite popular, so popular that it often breaks! Located on the right side of Knowhere just past Mantlo's bar. You can walk up to the slot machine and for just 500 units, you'll definitely have the chance to definitely lose 500 units! Yup it’s that easy! Place 500 units in the slot machine, and just like that, it breaks and doesn’t pay out. Yup the slot machine is broken, but it’s totally not a scam to take your money! Thank you for wasting money at the Knowhere Slot Machine!

Knowhere Lottery

advertisement

If you’re still feeling lucky, why not enter the Knowhere Lottery? Visit the lottery ticket seller located near the Collector’s Emporium. For just 1000 units you can buy a lottery ticket with a jackpot value of 5 million units! There’s a strict limit of only one ticket per customer! You can return to Knowhere at a future time to see if you’re a big winner. Note: There’s no way to win the lottery, it’s just a scam to make you spend 1000 units, but at least you get the lottery ticket itself, so… that’s something?

Three-card Monte

You’ll see a big brain who’s running a game of three-card monte. You can play his first introductory game to win 1000 units, fairly easily. Just follow the cup the ball in, it’ll likely be the middle one. After you win, the brain asks if you want to play again. Don’t do it! It’s likely you’ll never win again.

Other Random Things to Do in Knowhere

There’s a food vendor near the center of the area next to the observation deck. Speak to the vendor and you could purchase some food. Buying all four items results in a unique conversation.

advertisement

Between the food vendor and the observation deck, there is a vending machine showing three plush toys. You can purchase one random plushie for 750 units. You can read info about the plushie in the Items section of the compendium. There are three different plushies, but it seems you can only purchase one per playthrough. To get all three, you’ll likely need to play the game again twice more in New Game Plus.

If you’re looking for another fun item to collect you can buy a Disabler for 1500 units from the Junk Dealer on the left side of Knowhere. Once you’re on your ship, you can try to disable the Nova Corps lock. It won’t work, but Rocket might get a laugh out of it.

Finding Cosmo

Once you’ve explored Knowhere to your heart’s content, head to Cosmos tower. At the front, you’ll be turned away and asked to go through an alley. The alley ends at a maze-like loading bay full of brain stuff. The maze isn’t really a maze, just navigate through it and you’ll make it out fine on the other side. Afterward, head into the open area and get ready for a fight.

Garek and Rosson Boss Fight

advertisement

The first phase of this fight is simply about dodging attacks and surviving because there’s no way to damage them. Eventually, Peter calls a time out, to have a brief chat. After the chat, Gamora shows up, and you’ll finally be able to hurt the enemies. The brothers are invincible while they’re next to each other. Therefore the only way to damage them is by keeping them apart as long as possible.

Try to keep your focus on one of the brothers and lead him away from the other. Whenever they get too close, just run away and try splitting them up again. Take advantage each time they charge because it usually leaves them separated for quite some time. Eventually, Drax joins the fight. While separated, use Drax’s Destroy ability to help stagger one of them. Once they’ve both been weakened, the fight is interrupted.

Flashback

Back with 13-year-old Peter, you’ll need to go upstairs to grab the present in your mom’s room. Once the aliens attack, head outside and start shooting until the flashback finishes. You’ll wake up at the start of Chapter 7 - Canine Confusion.
