How can I check my JAMB result without SMS?

JAMB UTME 2022 Result HOW TO CHECK YOUR JAMB UTME RESULT BOTH THROUGH THE SMS AND DIRECTLY ON THE JAMB PORTAL

This is to inform candidates who had written their UTMEs that the results are now released officially. Candidates can start checking directly on the JAMB portal.

Let me guide you on how to check your JAMB UTME results. JAMB result is equally termed notification of result. This, you’re able to print as soon as JAMB releases the score of your CBT exams. The result will contain:

1. Name of the candidates
2. JAMB registration number
3. Candidate’s Date of Birth
4. State of Origin
5. Exams Number
6. The name of the center where you sat for the exams
7. List of the subjects written and score in each

JAMB notification of results will not detail or show your:

1. Passport photo
2. Schools and courses of choice

How to Check JAMB Results Online

1. Use SMS Method

Make sure you have the SIM card used for your JAMB registration active on your phone

1. Load at least N50 on it.
2. Send "UTMERESULT" in SMS to "55019"
3. N50 will be debited on your phone
4. Wait for your Result SMS message. The replying SMS will detail your grades by subject.
5. Lost your phone or SIM card? Unfortunately, there is no way to use another SIM to check. You can do Welcome Back of your line or follow the next method.

2. Use Online Checking Method

First, you will need any of the following to be able to check your score.

1. JAMB Registration number
2. Candidate’s email (used for the JAMB registration)
3. Candidate’s Phone Number (used for the registration)

Follow the steps below to check and print your result (note that this method is NOT made active for the 2022 UTME results).

1. Visit the JAMB home page and click on Check UTME Results
2. Or visit the result checking link straight https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/examslipprinting/checkutmeresults
3. Enter any of your JAMB registration number, phone number, or email.
4. Click on the check result.
5. A pop window will open and display the result.
6. Preview the result and print

NOTE: JAMB seems to have officially discontinued the use of the method above. I will update this section if it resumes later.

3. Log in Into Your JAMB Profile

First, go to a CBT centre to link your email to the JAMB portal. Be sure you link a working email. After that, you will be able to log in to your JAMB efacility or portal, with the email linked and password sent to your email by JAMB.

After this, follow the steps below.

1. Enter your JAMB profile through efacility page or click https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/efacility./
2. Log in with your JAMB profile email and its password.
3. Locate "Check UTME Results" on your Dashboard
4. Click that to open your result in a new window
5. If this option is not available, you will be able to use the next method which will require making some payment

4. Print Original JAMB Results Online

There’s a big difference between the JAMB result (the one discussed above) and the one called the ORIGINAL JAMB RESULT.

Since you may not be able to print the notification of the UTME result, this year, using methods 2 and 3 above, you will resolve to method 4. That will work no matter what.

Original JAMB result will display more information than notification of result. It will further show:

1. Passport photo
2. Schools and courses of choice.

While candidates usually print the JAMB result for about N200 in local cafes, the printing of the original result will cost around N2,200. This price charge is because the original result involves paying JAMB about N1,700 (including online/Remita charges).

Before now, in the past admission years, the printing of the original JAMB result didn't have to be immediate. You would mostly need it during your post UTME registration and when the school's admission exercise begins or after being offered admission.

However, starting from the 2022 admission year, all candidates will have to pay for and print their original results if they want to have a paper copy of the result, or else, they will hold on to the SMS result till they're ready or in need of the original UTME result.

Why You Need To Immediately Print JAMB Result

We have a series of reports in the past, regarding JAMB changes in the marks of some students after they’d already checked their results. Candidates, who had once checked the results on phones but never printed, later complained of a reduction/increase in their scores after rechecking when they were ready to print out.

Most of these cases were confirmed true even though JAMB denied it.
