Hey everyone.
Does anybody know how to get rid of those blue dots next to the app name, see screenshot ? Every time an app is updated via the play store, these dots appear and only disappear after opening the app. I'd like to permanently remove them though.

So many of us are with you. To my knowledge, there's no way to disable it.

Surely installing a different launcher would do it?

Checking in 3 months later. There is seriously no option to disable this?

Search "dot" in the settings window.
Hit "notifications and status bar"
Badge.
Don't show.

Was just looking for an answer to this myself, it's just really annoying to have the dot on loads of apps. And since different apps get updates constantly I don't want to have to open them all once every few days. Just wish I hadn't updated to android 12 because this didn't happen with 11.

OnePlus Nord AC2003, same problem started showing up after android 12 update. One did on new app install previously.

Install a different launcher? I've personally been using Nova for years

No, using garbage third party launchers isn't the solution.

And lose gestures navigation.

You'd lose the ability to to lock apps to keep them from being killed every 5 minutes, which is critical for me.

So that blue dot traumatizes you all that much? Just open the damn app.
level 1
Wait, I'm on oneplus 7 and never had any bluedots after I update apps. Only dot is when I download a new app.
level 2
It's happening only after Android 12 and Oneplus u Pro doesn't have that yet.

I'm also using OnePlus 7 and had my phone updated to Android 12. I'm starting to regret that because there's a lot of damn bugs and changes in the UI. 😅 One of them is this blue dot notif when updating the app.

Just open the app and it goes away, or use a different launcher

I hate the blue dots too. It's like the "highlight new programs" deal in the windows start menu. I always disable that.

There's a workaround option that hides app name, this would hide the blue dot too.
Cyberpunk 2077
how to remove the blue dot
a blue small dot appears on the middle of the screen while driving. how can i remove it?

If you go Settings>Interface>From the top "Colorblind Modes" go down 6 lines, just above "HUD Visibility" you'll see the setting, "Center of screen dot overlay". Turn this off 👍

You also have to turn the crosshair setting off like DeadBeat said. Both have to be off for it to turn that annoying little blue dot off.

Turned out that i need chrosshair, it's just that dot flies away from the center in accurate aiming... It's a bug, anyone knows how to fix it?
Sometime that dot get stuck. Try switching weapons a few times or restarting.
