Can I pay cash on NJ Transit bus?NJ TRANSIT has now resumed accepting cash fares on board trains and buses after suspending them earlier this year in an attempt to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Customers are reminded that the COVID-19 pandemic is not over.
How long do NJ Transit tickets last once activated?One-way and round-trip mobile tickets do not expire. They are valid until activated. FLEXPASS is valid for 30 days from and including the date of purchase. All tickets associated with a FLEXPASS must be used before the 30-calendar day expiry.
Does NJ Transit accept MetroCard?You can use the Pay Per Ride metrocard on PATH but not on any NJ Transit trains or buses.
