To complete a strand test, cut a piece of hair and coat with the dye then wrap in cling wrap and leave for 8 hours. For an allergy test, apply a small amount of product behind your ear and leave for 24 hours. Remove immediately if any irritation occurs and do not use the product.

This is a henna product, not a chemical color. The color change may not be as radical. You can do multiple applications to achieve the right result.

Plant pigments degrade in water so we have had to premix them in a base where they will remain stable so you can apply directly from the tube.

1. Shampoo and towel dry your hair, ensuring it is damp and there is no product residue in the hair.

2. Pop on some gloves, cover your clothes and put petroleum jelly around your hairline to avoid any skin being accidentally tinted.

3. Apply the dye directly from the tube to very damp hair using a brush or your hands. Use downward strokes to work evenly from your roots to the ends of your hair, massaging throughout for flawless coverage.

4. Leave for a minimum of 1 hour and up to 8 hours, the average application time is 4 hours.

5. Rinse very well with warm water and use your fingertips to remove the product. We recommend rinsing under a tap over a basin to ensure strong water flow. DO NOT RINSE OFF IN THE SHOWER. After the initial rinse, apply a generous amount of sulfate free shampoo and lather through from roots to ends. Rinse and repeat 2-3 times until your hair feels clean and there is no product residue on your hands. Follow with conditioner if desired. Please protect your hands and eyes during rinsing. Dry and style as usual.
