How to dodge malenia elden ring second phase

Yeah it's kind of stupid. I can g et behind grinding a boss and learning the attack patterns and stuff but getting instant killed after managing to beat the second phase feels super bad.

I grinded all bosses until a clean win but I used a player summon for her after 2 hours of trying her.

The only hard parts about her is the waterfoul dance that's literally undodgeable if you are not a godlike player and the dive bomb that I seemingly am to stupid to dodge.

Flower dive bomb attack in her second phase? I can dodge the first one at the very beginning of the second phase, but if she does it again during the fight I always get destroyed.

I found if you run underneath towards and past her as she goes up, I avoided it most the time.

Bloodhound step is a safe bet for that and waterfowl. You can throw it on a dagger and swap if you don't want it as your main ash of war

As soon as you see her go into the air spam roll back. Same for the opening flower bloom. You are guaranteed to not take any damage if you spam roll as soon as she goes into the air, and not be greedy and try go into the flower while she has the lingering effect active.

Just run forward and under her. She can’t turn around and will sail overhead.

That's what I usually try to do too. I unlock and run towards her and then spam roll if it feels close.

Is it possible to roll through the explosion?

I guess running under her is a good tactic if you have time, but you know what else works? A strong shield to block the initial impact followed by rolling back away from her.

First comes smiles, then lies. Last is gunfire.

I never tried running under myself. It only tracks you to the point she dives so as long as you keep running it will miss. You're prolly better off not using the lockon to prevent camera shenanigans.

The bloom thing? Don't think so. Hard to tank but if anyone has a strat to tank it, im all ears

i don’t think so, the explosion and rot will eat you. The times she really caught me with it I didn’t unlock from her fast enough.

How do you survive the second phase of Malenia?

Tips for Phase 2: Make sure to always have your health topped up to 100%. You should also consider using a Rune Arc with a Great Rune that gives you more HP. Her attacks are even deadlier in this phase and can kill you more easily. If you struggle and never manage to get her down, just summon Let Me Solo Her.

How do you dodge the second form of Melania?

All you have to do is roll at and under Melania, just like with Waterfowl Dance. For whatever reason, the secondary explosion seems to consistently catch rolls away from Malenia. Rolling under her seems to effectively dodge both hits, and give you time to back away as the rot flower blooms.
