Turn on Multi Window

1. Select the Recent apps key.

2. Select the desired app icon, then select Open in split screen view.

3. Navigate to and select the second app.

Note: For this tutorial, the Calendar and Phone apps were selected.

Open an app completely

The app with the blue line is the active app. Select and drag the divider in the middle of the screen down to the bottom or up to the top of the screen, depending on which app you want to open completely.

Exit Multi Window

Select the Home key.

Use Picture-in-picture

While using Maps or watching a video in fullscreen, select the Home key. The app will display as a Picture-in-picture window in the corner of the screen.

Note: You can select and drag the window as desired. Picture-in-picture is enabled by default on select apps. To view which apps can use Picture-in-picture, swipe down from the Notification bar > select the Settings icon> Apps > Menu icon > Special access > Picture-in-picture > the apps that can use Picture-in-picture will be displayed.

5. After selecting your selected apps will be running simultaneously with a Split Screen. You can use this either in the Landscape or Portrait window by turning your device orientation.

6. To resize the Split screen apps you can click and drag the blue line separating the two apps.

7. To deactivate the Split Screen view, just hold the blue line and swipe down fully to the bottom of the screen or click on Recent Apps button and click on the Close icon.

On older Samsung devices the inbuilt multitasking split window option is not available. So we need to download a third-party Split Screen app.

1. Go to the Google Play Store on your Galaxy A10e device.

2. Then search for “Split Screen Multitasking” on the search bar and hit go. Or Visit this List of SplitScreen Apps Google Play Store.

4. After installation of the Split Screen app on your Galaxy A10e, Open it and click on the Split Screen button to start the multi-window experience. Sometimes these options will be available on the notification panel itself.
