Let your cat know that scratching at the door isn't allowed. To help your cat figure this out, ensure that your cat isn't bored, hungry, or lonely when you close the door for the night.

I would first make sure your cat has an adequate scratching post in the house it enjoys using. If your cat is still scratching the door, I suggest putting tape or Sticky Paws on the door to discourage it from scratching.
