First Impressions

As always, my goodies arrived in the pink IPSY bubble mailer and a drawstring bag. The design a wavy blue and white pattern with yellow drawstrings.

Also worth noting: I didn't make choices this month to see what kind of assortment would arrive!

SKYLAR Coconut Cove Eau de Parfum Rollerball, 10 mL - Retail Value $29

I think my nose and coconut scents have come a long way. Or, maybe rather coconut perfumes have really evolved into something with a lot more depth than the sunscreen scents I used to avoid. This fragrance is absolutely coconut heavy, but in a milky, sunshine, sort of way. This warm sunkissed note is paired with white flowers and a waxy scent that I am finding hard to describe. Surfboard wax? It reminds me of Maison Margiela Replica's Beach Walk but with more milk/cream and a little green on the top. I really like this one! Because it is a rollerball, I think I can get through it before September, when this summery scent will be placed on hiatus in my rotation.

Glowoasis Milkdew Moisture Toner, 120 mL - Retail Value $34

First off, this bottle is heavy! It is made of thick glass and feels special right out of the cute box. Inside the frosted glass is a milky white liquid toner with a sweet creamy scent. I absolutely loved this toner! First, the ingredient list was like a runway show of my favorite botanicals: cica, prickly pear, apricot seed oil, and chamomile. It also has probiotics from fermented lettuce (inspired by kimchi!). It leaves behind such a soft and moisturized finish and dewy skin. A+!

Kimchi Chic Beauty Thailor Bronzer in '01-I Went to Malibu' - Retail Value $15

Not a huge bronzer user here, but this brand always sucks me in with this heart compact shape. I am a sucker for cute compacts! And while I don't see myself using this the way I would use a normal bronzer, it is really pretty on my lids and has a soft buttery finish that blends out like a dream.

Rosa Mosqueta Infused Glossy Lip Oil Duo Set  - Retail Value $20

Lip oils are having a big moment right now and I am leaning way in. In addition to conditioning my lips, they leave a healthy and natural shine and tint. It is such an easy finishing touch to a minimalist makeup look. This duo arrived in very pretty acrylic tubes displaying the sheer nude and ruby gloss options inside. Both were fragrance-free (I actually would have preferred some sort of scent) and contained a blend of Rosa Mosqueta oil, jojoba oil, and aloe. The texture was thick enough to feel more like a gloss than an oil, but were much kinder to my lips than most lip balms out there.

MOTD Seas The Day Makeup Brush Set - Retail Value $24

My last item is a trio of multi-use makeup brushes with beautiful shimmering acrylic handles. The white vegan Taklon bristles are dense and fluffy and are perfect for eye or face looks.

Verdict

This month's IPSY Glam Bag Plus has a value of $122, which is good for this $28 bag. And I actually loved the curation this month. The perfume and toner were awesome, and I also loved the brushes and lip oil. And, sure, I won't use the bronzer to, well, bronze myself, but anytime I open a product and burst into a smile at the packaging is a win.
