The Justice League is a team of comic book superheroes in the DC Comics Universe. Over the years they have featured many characters in a variety of combinations. Show The JLA members are listed here in order of their first joining the team, and none are listed twice. No retconned members are listed (except where they historically took part in the stories). No associates and unofficial members, or members of the Super Friends (except when they are also Justice League members in the mainstream comics) are listed. Non-full members and staff are also listed below. Characters in bold are current Justice League active members. Pre-New 52/RebirthDC Comics had the first fictional universe of superheroes, with the Justice Society of America forming in the Golden Age of Comic Books in the 1940s. This shared continuity became increasingly complex with multiple worlds, including a similar team of all-star superheroes formed in the 1960s named the Justice League of America, debuting in The Brave and the Bold Volume 1 #28. This universe included several reboots and retcons starting with Crisis on Infinite Earths in 1986 and culminating in the Flashpoint storyline, leading to the New 52 in 2011. Why is Batman a member of the Justice League? As Bruce Wayne, he is too well known to just 'disappear' and as paranoid and secretive as he is, it would be reasonable to assume the worst. By keeping him in the League, the other members can keep an eye on him, and keep him busy by letting him 'help'.
Who are the 7 original members of the Justice League? The original seven heroes— Aquaman, Batman, Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Superman and Wonder Woman—battle Starro the Conqueror, a giant alien starfish bent on world domination in the League's debut story in The Brave and the Bold #28.
Is Batman the real leader of the Justice League?6/10 Batman Acts As More Of A Consultant Though He Has Led His Own Versions Of The League. The Dark Knight stands alongside DC's Trinity with Superman and Wonder Woman as leaders for other heroes. However, Batman hasn't taken official command of the League as often as the other members of the Trinity.
Does Batman have a plan for each Justice League member? In the "Tower Of Babel" story arc, later loosely adapted to animation in Justice League: Doom, it's revealed that Batman had developed plans to incapacitate every member of the Justice League in the event any of them turned rogue– using his first-hand knowledge of the teammates' weaknesses.
