Jack Harlow is skilled at rap, but he also shares the love when it comes to basketball. The Louisville, Kentucky native recently joined forces with Los Angeles Clippers All-Star forward Kawhi Leonard for a brand new commercial for New Balance.

Harlow debuted the spot on Instagram on Wednesday (May 18), showing himself and Leonard getting in a game of 1-on-1. The clip opens with the “WHATS POPPIN” rapper dribbling a basketball and taking a few shots before passing the ball to The Klaw, who accepts the impromptu pickup game challenge.

Kawhi Leonard then shows off his NBA-caliber skills as the game begins and before long, both men are dunking and taking mid-range jumpers. The commercial is for New Balance’s campaign “We Got Now,” which they first launched in 2020 with Leonard’s help.

This isn’t the first time Jack Harlow and the NBA champion have linked up with. Back in April, the “First Class” rapper revealed the two had met for the first time and apparently, the basketball star had a few critiques of his game.

“He’s the shit,” Harlow said of meeting Leonard. “I met him for the first time the other day… Told him about the movie I’m preparing for. He told me I need to get my layup package together because it’s ass.”

Jack Harlow also admitted he was interested in getting some tips from Leonard and wanted to learn some drills to elevate his game, especially given his starring role in the upcoming White Men Can’t Jump reboot.

New Balance is releasing a new iteration of its “We Got Now” campaign with two famous faces.

The sporting giant has tapped Grammy-nominated musician Jack Harlow and Los Angeles Clippers player Kawhi Leonard for the new campaign, which released on Wednesday. The campaign is meant to spotlight “those championing action to inspire others,” according to New Balance.

The two stars appear in a one-minute commercial playing basketball in New Balance styles. The commercial will air later this month. The commercial also features musician IU and English football players Raheem Sterling and Bukayo Saka.

Harlow is one of New Balance’s newest brand ambassadors, joining the brand in February. The musician was tapped to represent New Balance at the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game that month and unveiled the New Balance 550, the brand’s newest basketball shoe.

Since joining New Balance, Harlow has regularly been seen wearing styles from the brand, including the music video for his single “Nail Tech,” in which he wore several of his favorite New Balance styles.

In addition to his hit songs, Harlow has been increasingly growing in popularity for his style, which is a blend of streetwear and more formal menswear pieces. Harlow made his Met Gala debut in September wearing a custom black velvet suit by Tommy Hilfiger. He made another appearance at this month’s Met Gala, wearing a dark brown double-breasted suit by Givenchy.
