because while the manga is better than the anime, darling in the franxx sucks ass in all forms. read the sscanlations in a single sitting, it's not very long at all. i sat through the whole thing just because i was waiting for the gay kid to bang the boob girl and it didn't even happen. the whole thing is just an incoherent, abridged version of the already incoherent story

I just realized I could preorder the manga! Here’s the URLs:

It looks like Vol. 1-2 will release in March 2022. Vol. 3-4 will release in June 2022. So far those are the only volumes announced for release in English.

I had a love/hate relationship with the anime’s ending, as did everyone else. After finding out there’s a different ending to this fantastic love story, my heart jumped at the opportunity to find out. I’ve never read a manga before in my life, but this has me so excited! Hopefully this news will come as a surprise to some.

Why is DARLING in the FRANXX controversial?

Some fans were annoyed by the lack of main character deaths. The only important people who die are Dr. Franxx, an antagonistic Franxx pilot nobody liked, and a girl who deserved better. Hiro and Zero Two also died, but they were eventually reincarnated, which also doesn't belong in a hard sci-fi series.
