With the announcement of the sequel, Colleen Hoover says:

“My readers have given me this amazing career, and it seems only right to thank them with the sequel to It Ends with Us they’ve been asking for, I’m honored to pick up where we left off with Lily and Atlas’s story, and can’t wait to share this journey with my friends at Atria Books.”

She said this a while ago

“I’ll never write anything that would redeem Ryle. It would be an insult to all the women who don’t get that with their abusive partners. I’d love to dive into Lily and Atlas’s world, but I can’t do that without involving Ryle somehow. So I will probably never write a sequel. I love that people want one, but the impact part one had on a lot of women is more important to me than writing a sequel and possibly sending the wrong message with a continuation. I’ve outlined a few potential scenarios, but I think this is a book that doesn’t need a follow-up. Sadly.”

And now we have a sequel. I am looking forward to the new installation, I wasn’t expecting it but I’m so excited for the release and I hope it is everything we expect and much more.

It Starts With Us Book Update

On the 1st of August Collen Hoover, herself made an announcement. She wrote:

I might have confused some of you with the title of this one because people keep asking if this is a prequel. It is not. This one begins about an hour after the epilogue ends in It Ends With Us. We do get a few scenes from the past but most of the book is present day in their world, and follows the characters as they navigate life after the events in It Ends With Us. 😁Also, this one likely won’t have ARCS I’m sorry, we don’t have enough time, and the publishing industry doesn’t have enough paper. Literally. There’s a paper shortage. We gotta figure this out so they can print everyone a copy of the upcoming ❤️ @britneyspears ❤️book.
