Went for dinner one night with a bunch of friends from work and was very pleasantly surprised with this place. The food was very good, portions were generous and the price … wow very very inexpensive for what we got. Their salsa was so good...I ended up buying a couple of bottles to take home. The only drawback is that They don’t have any beer on tap and they don’t serve margaritas but hey can’t have everything.More

It is a very famous Mexican food restaurant because its dishes are delicious. I've only been once and it was a very good experience; mainly because the food is not that expensive, plus the service is quick and clean. The only bad thing is that...when it gets busy, you have to wait outside until a table is free and also the customer inside has to hurry for the table to be occupied again. I don't know if this happens in other of its establishments, because it is a restaurant chain, but the one I went to did happen.More

The service is very fast, The food is excellent, the best from this place is that is a traditional food, like pozole. The best suggestion I can give is to try pozole. There are many traditional dishes, There are many places you can go.

This is an excellent option if you want tasty Mexican food at a great price. There’s tons of locations around CDMX which makes it even more convenient. And definitely try the Flan de la Abuela! It’s very good!

Good food, lots of options, friendly staff, affordable prices. It gets quite busy in the evening so there’s a line forming, I had to wait not more than 10 min though. Recommend.

Everything we had there was okay, It will fill you up, but nothing was memorable. Nor was anything bad. I'm confused about the popularity of this place, particularly considering the other amazing options available.

CDMX has countless restaurants, but this place is undoubtedly my favorite. I go there every time I visit. There’s always a line, but absolutely worth the wait. The menu is small. Pozole is a must try.

Man is this place good! The food is delicious, the servings are big and the best part is the prices are amazing. You may have to wait in line but it’s totally worth it. I went back 3 times. The pazole were amazing. The flan...is flawless. The guacamole is less than $2!! Don’t miss either.More

I seriously don't get the hype. I tried their chicken pozole and found it was mainly shredded chicken, not able to enjoy a soup like that. Being my only pozole in cdmx I am embarrassed to say I enjoyed more one I bought in Canada...in a Mexican restaurant. The guacamole was fine, my Tamarindo drink too and the service very fast and friendly. I just can't go on with my life with so much people saying its amazing when for me it wasn't, at all.More

This place was awesome I loved everything about it, I'm not really a big fan of mexican food until my friend drove me here, at first I knew I was gonna hate everything but when I stepped in, many people greeted us and the food...was delicious, now every where I go I always want Mexican food. I recommend having the nachos with salsa, I loved it! Also you can get a big range of food and save a ton of money!More

On a recent trip to Mexico City we found this local spot and really like it! It was walking distance to our hotel, friendly people, very inexpensive food and quite tasty! No margaritas but the beer was cold ;-) Can't go wrong with this choice!

Pozole was very good. Service was quick and professional. Food came out as ordered, guacamole was also above average, along with the quesadillas. Flautas, tacos, and a few other menu items were just okay. Seating/table was okay, not the most comfortable. Would return.

$12 U.S. for a large vegetarian Pozole, chicken chillaquiles with green sauze and two drinks? How can you go wrong? Well they do not disappoint - of note, you will find multiple locations of Tono's House (we visited their Juarez Ave. Location); their large capacity...dining room, high volume, super inexpensive fare is enjoyed (from what we saw) almost exclusively by locals; and they do have a good system, it is very clean; and the food was great; look, there will be CDMX food snobbies that will harp on where arguably more subtle and gourmad-ish/"haute" Mexican food may be found, but for $12?! to eat this well, I say, I will be back there - noting that one of us is picky about animal products, so this veggie option was very welcomed; the only downside may be that it is so popular that you may have to wait to be seated, but for $12 out the door!More

Pozole was delicious. Service was excellent. Didn’t seem like a super tourist spot either. We like good eats where the locals frequent.
