Randy Watson pulling his music from Spotify memes flood Twitter

This just in: Randy Watson, lead singer of Sexual Chocolate (as in, the fictional band from 1988 rom-com Coming To America, starring Eddie Murphy in not one, not two, not three but four roles) is pulling his music from audio-streaming service Spotify.

In case it wasn’t clear, this is a joke.

There is a real Sexual Chocolate on Spotify. Their most popular release is 2008 album Room 69, which features eight tracks including Love & Happiness, Glaze Doughnut Face and Goodmorning.

But that Sexual Chocolate is not the Sexual Chocolate from Coming To America, and it’s not being pulled from Spotify. Per the dozens of memes that have popped up on Twitter in the past two days – this Sexual Chocolate is fronted by Randy Watson, whose music remains on the platform.

In fact, Randy Watson has several songs available to stream on Spotify – two singles and one EP. The top track, by a long shot, is a mashup of Whatta King and We Are Family. It replaces “I’ve got all my sisters with me” with “I’ve got Sexual Chocolate with me”.
