I’ve never been fan of BBW’s cult classic Mahogany Teakwood. It’s too sharp and cologne-y for me, and I always got those unpleasant-to-me whiffs of lavender. But when BBW started making Mahogany blends, they caught my attention.

I love Mahogany Apple, and I love Mahogany Vanilla for many of the same reasons - the accompanying fragrances mute the mahogany. Here, the top notes of surprisingly sweet vanilla and middle notes of crisp bergamot dance beautifully with sandalwood.

Although Mahogany isn’t specifically listed in the notes, there are certainly traces of that classic, sharp, cologne-y fragrance in Mahogany Vanilla.

I’ve been on a long hunt for a deep, earthy, unsweet, almost herbal vanilla home fragrance. I tried and failed with Goose Creek’s Black Satin Vanilla (it was too perfume-y). I’m excited to burn this and see the hot throw performance.

...Joop, leather, and vanilla. I actually really like it, as someone who doesn't like any of the masculine/Mahogany scents. There's something sophisticated and warm about it.

It was available for Candle Day; not sure if it's in stores for SAS, but if you want something masculine, but without an overpowering cologne scent, you may like this.
