This is a great way to infuse a BBQ chicken with the flavour and moisture from a beer can. After your mates get over laughing at the sight of this and taste the results, you'll never again want to do a standard whole chicken again without it.

Try this for your next party or BBQ!

What is a beer can chicken holder?

Our Beer Can Chicken Rack keeps your chicken moist and tender while on the grill and folds for easy storage when not in use. Dishwasher safe, the Beer Can Chicken Rack from Char Broil is a must-have accessory for your grill.

Do I need a beer can chicken holder?

You need some headspace in the can to create steam for cooking the inside of the chicken. You can reserve 1/4 cup for basting the chicken later, or just drink the poured off beer. Set your beer can chicken in a pan. You don't need a fancy beer can chicken holder, just a simple 9×13 metal (or disposable foil) pan.

Do you remove the skin for beer can chicken?

A dry skin will help get a crispy skin when you grill it. Make sure to rub the inside of the chicken in the cavity along with the skin. We recommend also lifting the skin up and rubbing it under the skin so the seasoning gets right on the meat. Any beer will be fine you don't need an expensive craft beer to make this.

What beer for beer can chicken?

Types of Beers to Use for Beer Can Chicken Porters are a great choice, but you could also experiment with other dark beers like stout or black lagers. You can even use a Pilsner or your favorite IPA. The choice is endless, and the best part is you don't even have to buy canned beer, all you need is a bottle.
