What is in the Lexus RX 450h premium package?

The Lexus RX scores well for reliability and is quiet and comfy when you drive it gently. It isn't that spacious by class standards, though, and despite its hybrid engine, the fuel economy and CO2 emissions fail to impress.

Every RX and RXL comes with 20-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights and an electric tailgate. Inside, you get faux-leather seats with electric adjustment and heating for the front seats, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone screen mirroring and a wireless phone charger. Automatic emergency braking and lane-keeping assistance are standard too.

A 3.5-litre petrol V6 paired with two electric motors to give you a combined power output of 308bhp and four-wheel drive. It’s a refined engine with a pleasing sound but isn't particularly frugal.

2022 Lexus RX 450h Overview

For 2022, Lexus offers its RX lineup with 17 model and trim configurations — including two-row RX 350 conventional and RX 450h self-charging hybrid models, as well as the three-row RX 350 L and RX 450h L. The RX series can also be tailored — with classic premium, luxury, and executive trim levels, plus performance-oriented F Sport configurations. For 2022, the RX lineup includes the limited production “Moonlight Edition” model in both RX 350 and RX 450h configurations.

Performance

The self-charging hybrid RX 450h offers the power of Lexus Hybrid Drive. In the RX 450h, this system is built around an Atkinson-cycle 3.5L V6, a continuously variable transmission, and powerful electric motors that work together to generate 308 net system horsepower.

Practicality

In addition to the Moonlight Edition, the RX 450h is available in four other model and trim configurations — Premium Package, Luxury Package, Executive Package, F Sport Series 2 and F Sport Series 3. Display audio with remote, remote touchpad, LED head lights and taillights, and paddle shifters are common to all trims.

Value

The RX 450h Luxury Package starts at $67,900. Next up is the F Sport Series 2 ($69,000, Executive Package ($74,050) and the F Sport Series 3 ($74,050).
