What is the best weapon in Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning?

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is a remaster of the original 2012 game of the same name. When it launched, it aimed to bring the title to a new audience and fix a few of the original game's faults. However, one thing that has remained consistent through both the original 2012 version and the remaster is the phenomenal art design. Whether it is the stunning world you explore or the designs of each armor set, there's a lot of stunning sights for you to see.

With its luscious fantasy world and fantastic art direction, it only makes sense that Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning would have great fantasy weapon designs too. From gentlemanly greatswords to faeblades made from the bones of Dragons, there are plenty of wonderful weapons to be found.

8/8 Gentlemen's Favor - Greatsword

Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning two soldiers the one on the right in armour and the one on the left in rags holding the Gentlemen's Favor greatsword with its golden dragon head hilt

Gentlemen's Favor is a tricky weapon to get as it requires completing the final House of Valor faction quest, Championship Match. While the mission itself can be quite challenging, the reward more than makes up for it. Not only is Gentlemen's Favor an extremely stylish sword, but it is also incredibly powerful.

Gentlemen's Favor already manages to impress with its high base physical damage and good piercing damage. However, where it really shines is in its bonus buffs which increases your health, physical damage, and piercing damage. This truly is a noble sword.

7/8 Lifedrinker - Greatsword

Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning a shot of two warriors, the one on the left closer than the one on the right, wearing armour and holding the Lifedrinker greatsword

Lifedrinker does what it says on the tin. It offers the player a ten percent chance to steal 25 health per hit, making it not only an exceptionally powerful greatsword, but also an incredibly useful one. The ability to steal health isn't an uncommon buff across other pieces of equipment in Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning. So, combining this with the appropriate attire will make it even stronger.

Additionally, the sword's design is outstanding and one of the most unique designs in the whole game. With its twitching eyeballs near the hilt and fleshy blade with bones jutting out, this is by far one of the more eccentric and bizarre weapons available.

6/8 Heart Of Ember - Hammer

Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning two warriors, the one on the left with their back turned, wearing armour and holding the hammer Heart of Ember

While Heart of Ember is an already imposing name for a weapon, up close it is even more terrifying. This enormous weapon features a molten head capable of burning anyone it hits. It is a visually striking weapon that is fittingly deadly and extremely powerful.

Heart of Ember not only inflicts a high amount of physical damage but also 20 fire damage and 12 burning damage over five seconds. Additionally, it increases the amount of fire damage you do, which is a helpful buff for this kind of weapon.

5/8 Legacy's End - Hammer

Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning a blue elf holding the hammer Legacy's End which is made of skulls and a ribcage wrapped around flesh

Legacy's End, like Lifestealer, is a hauntingly terrifying weapon that is capable of not only destroying life but stealing it too. Found randomly in chests across Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning's world, Legacy's End is a deadly hammer that deals a significant amount of physical damage.

Its fantastic design is just one of the many great things about Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning, and is befitting for its effects. This hammer has a 20 percent chance of stealing 30 life per hit, which more than makes up for its slow speed.

4/8 Eyes Of Tirnoch - Daggers

Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning two characters against a black background wearing light armour and wielding the daggers Eyes of Tirnoch

Eyes of Tirnoch are an incredible pair of daggers that are extremely deadly for those on the other end. Not only do they deal a decent amount of physical and piercing damage, but they also deal poison, fire, and burning damage simultaneously.

Additionally, the Eyes of Tirnoch have a very sleek and fantastical design which is in keeping with both the game's overall tone and the lore behind this particular set of daggers.

3/8 Faeblades Of Song - Faeblade

Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning a close up of a woman who's head is out of frame wearing armour and holding the Faeblades of Song in her hands

During the first quest of the House of Ballads questline, you'll come across the body of one Sir Sagrell. On his body is the Faeblades of Song, two beautiful weapons with an incredible design. While not necessarily the strongest weapons in Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning, they are by far one of the best-looking Faeblades available.

In addition to looking excellent, the Faeblades of Song offers the player increased health, physical damage, and chance to stun. While these aren't necessarily the most impressive of bonuses, couple them with additional bonuses from your armor, and the Faeblades of Song will prove to be incredibly useful weapons, especially during the early game.

2/8 The Dragon's Spurs - Faeblade

Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning a close up of a woman in armour wielding faeblades made from the bones of dragons called The Dragon's Spurs

The Dragon's Spurs are perhaps one of the best-designed weapons in all of Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning. These pristine white blades made from the bones of Dragons are impressive to look at once equipped, and even more enjoyable to use.

While The Dragon's Spurs don't offer that many impressive bonuses or even damage, for purely ceremonial value or to simply look impressive as you roam the Faelands they are absolutely worth picking up.

1/8 Allender's Edge - Chakrams

Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning a person wielding the Chakrams Allender's Edge on the left and a close up of them on the right

One of the first things you'll want to do in Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is to buy a backpack. You'll be collecting a lot of weapons and armor across your adventure, and as a result, will need somewhere to store it. Allender's Edge deserves a spot in your backpack, and not just because it's a beautiful weapon.

Allender's Edge deals both fire and burning damage alongside its standard physical damage. Additionally, it also gives the player an additional 85 mana as well as an extra 20 percent damage. For those using a lot of spells, this Chakram is absolutely worth using.
