Do First year students live on campus at ECU?As a freshman at ECU, you're guaranteed a room in one of our residence halls! All freshmen are required to live on campus as part of a common experience to bond new students to the university and provide support through the crucial first year of college.
Which residence hall is named after an East Carolina founder and is the oldest hall on campus still being used for its original purpose?It is named for Thomas Jordan Jarvis. He is considered the father of ECU because of his contributions to not only North Carolina politics, but his role in the founding of the school and his efforts in the conception and construction. Jarvis Hall is the only building still being used for its original purpose.
Where do ECU freshmen live?As a freshman at ECU, you have the opportunity to live in one of two traditional residence halls: Pesagi Hall and Pontotoc Hall. We provide exciting and engaging programs to help create a home away from home for our students.
