When did Fortnite Season 3 start

Season 3, with the slogan Meteor Strike, was the third season of Fortnite: Battle Royale. It started on February 22, 2018 and ended on April 30, 2018.

The season's theme revolved around space exploration, as well as being the season where the Fortnite storyline began.

The Fortnite Storyline Begins

The storyline began in this season, with players spotting a bright, blue object (later revealed to be a comet) in the sky. Many players speculated that the comet would hit and destroy Tilted Towers due to several clues and hints. Despite the rumours, the comet hit Dusty Depot instead at the start of Season 4.

The game's user base increased around this season as Fortnite: Battle Royale was introduced to the iOS community.

At the end of this season, non-downloadable updates released every other week referred to as 'Content Updates' were introduced so Epic Games had more time to fix the more complex bugs. The first Content Update was released in April 4th, 2018.

March 20th: A meteor appeared on the sky of the Island.

Update v3.4.0 (March 29th, 2018)

Telescope camps were set around the map, looking towards the meteor.

Update v3.6 (April 24th, 2018)

Small camps were set on the rooftop of a building in Tilted Towers. In there you can find signs with a drawing of a UFO and a text that read "Today Tomorrow".
April 25th: Televisions around the map started broadcasting a test-pattern graphic with a Llama in it along with unnintelligible audio.
April 26th: Meteorites started falling from the sky, a gameplay event that happens towards the middle of a match and intensify as the match progresses.

Battle Pass

The Battle Pass costs 950 V-Bucks, the same as last season. This Battle Pass introduced new types of cosmetics, which included: Loading Screens, Contrails, and Back Blings.
